My FMIL, is one of the greaatest ladies you'd ever meet. Her and I get a long...we're like two peas in a pod.
All of her other DIL's and SIL's, call her mom. I feel weird calling her mom even though when she signs cards to me she's singed them 'Love, Mom K' and when the FH and I give her cards we address them as 'Dear mom'.
That being said I feel weird calling her and saying 'Hi Lil, how are you?' But I also feel weird calling her mom. I'm 32, my mom is alive and I've only ever called her mom.
Am I being weird? What do I call her?

Mrs. (Late Name). I'm not a fan. She's not my mom, god forbid something ever happens to my mom she'll never take her place. We sign things Dear Mom and she signs them 'Mom (Late Name)'.

i call mine by her first name. it's what i'm used to. i know she'd love it if i called her mom, but it's too weird for me. my mom died when i was 17, and i just cannot call anyone else mom.

I either call her mrs.... or by her first name. I dont really call her anything much come to think of it...

I call my FMIL by her first name and once we are married I will continue to call her by her first name. I am very close with my mom and she is the only one I will call mom.

I call her by her first name- my parents are deceased and I wouldn't mind calling them mom and dad since I was young when they both passed but I feel weird (even though I love her to pieces!)
I also call his dad by his first name- I used to call them Mr. & Mrs (Last Name) when I first met them but they signed their cards with their first names so I just started to call them by their first names and they didn't object.
Also FH's SIL also calls them by their first names so I felt safe with that.

I call her MIM now... b/c that is FH's nickname for her since he was young. I will call her MIM in the future too... Love her!

I call her by her first name...I have a mom already and couldn't even imagine calling someone else mom...when we first got engaged FMIL said ok now you have to call us by our first names...(its been hard for me cause i say mr and mrs) and FFIL said you can call me dad or Mr his name....so I continue to call him Mr....cause I already have a dad too! lol

I call FMIL and FFIL by their first names. I try to avoid calling his grandparents anything because FH and his brothers have nicknames for them and I feel kind of weird calling them those. I do call them by those names when I have to.

FMIL..is actually FH's stepmom (his mom is deceased) so we both call her by her first name. I also call his dad by his first name..but FH told me he wants me to call him Dad, since he never had a daughter. I told him I don't think I can do it..i have a dad and he's my only DAD!
Fh calls my parents Momma D and Mr. D.
