MY fh wants lessons too, but I totally agree that you teach rhythm - what am I gonna do?
Do you really think those choreographed 1st dances are really cheesy??? I was thinking that it would be cute?

We're going to take lessons, but our problem isn't rhythm. Our problem is we are both absolute klutzes and will probably end up severely injuring ourselves, even with a slow dance!

I don't want a whole big choreographed to-do, but the people I baby-sit for take dance and they love it, so I think it would be something fun and different to do.

i have two words for you: LIQUID COURAGE!!!!

don't sweat it! you'll be on cloud nine the entire night cause it will be your wedding, that you will forget you can't dance, and have a great time anyway!!!

and of course the liquid courage in the form of champagne is always wonderful.

LOL i Love it!!!

Hahah, I pretty much suck at dancing. I've gotten Elaine references in the past! But get a few drinks in me,at least I think I look good. I'm very uptight about my dancing, and a few glasses of vino or champagne always helps me on the dancefloor!

One person's cheese is another person's cute. Don't sweat it!! FH used to be one of those guys that refused to dance. We went to his friend's wedding last year and that couple took lessons AND had their first dance choreographed. They danced to Come Away With Me by Norah Jones - there was not a dry eye in the house watching them glide across the floor.

It convinced FH to take dance lessons, and now he can't get enough. We go to social dances, we practice one night a week, after our first round of lessons we are taking more, and he wants to continue after the wedding. Our first dance is also choreographed, although based on our practice sessions I am convinced that the steps will all be there, but in some random order that we've never done before!!
