Very nice. What is the base made of?
Did you check with your reception hall about their policy on the use of candles? Some have a problem with more than a taper or two on each table.

Re: What do you think!

the base is styrofoam with fall ribbon covering it. On top of that is a beveled mirror. I did check with my hall and asked if it was okay to have candles on my centerpieces / on the tables, and they said yes. I didn't really get into specifics with them.

I think you did a great job!! What else are you doing to go with your fall theme?

I think it looks great too!!!

Lovely! But. I'd be a bit concerned that they'd drip excessively onto the base and there's nothing to catch the wax from dripping onto the leaves and table. (then again, I'm neurotic and had no candles at my day wedding! )

Have you tried a sample to see how much they drip?

Re: What do you think!

they don't drip at all!! They are dripless pillars!!

Re: What do you think!

Your centerpieces are beautiful .. very creative .. and how special that you made them yourself! Like Kathi, I was wondering about how they'd drip. At a wedding we attended where they used pillars, they didn't burn straight down the center, so they dripped over the sides and onto the base. Sounds like you've got that problem covered! My only other thought was maybe natural (cream) color candles might go better with the fall theme and colors you have than pure white? But that's just my thought.

Re: What do you think!

kel, you're so right about the color, cream would have looked much better and that is totally what I wanted to do, BUT to find UNscented colored candles is very hard, and when I did find them they were about twice as expensive as these. These are Martha Stewarts from KMart, and were very affordable, so I said what the heck and went with white!

I love them, very pretty! And of course I love the fall theme as I am doing that as well!

Don't get me wrong .. it looks beautiful as is .. and if it comes down to getting them for half the price of others .. then it's absolutely perfect!

Don't forget to figure out a give-away plan for these .. at the wedding we went to where they used a pillar candle type design, everyone stood around at the end of the night wanting to take them, but were unsure if it was okay to snatch them up because the bride & groom didn't do a giveaway for them. The bride's mom had to go around telling people is was okay to take them .. and then everyone was scrambling for them!

OMG - I'm so impressed by your creativity. They are lovely! And when the candles are lit, the reflection in the base, with the warm colors...very nice!

Re: What do you think!

Very nice job. My suggestion would be to attach some of the leaves to the side of the candle. This way it wouldn't look so 'white' but won't be as expensive as buying cream candles.
