Yesterday me and FH had a meeting with Patken Photographers. They gave us these quotes:
-1 photographer for the whole day -includes all candid shots also -Engagement pictures including 1 8x8 portrait and save the dates cards -Bride and groom album including 60 pictures -3 parents albums including 18 5x5 pictures in each -Thank you cards -Album of all proofs which are edited and retouched -CD of all our proofs at not additional cost -minimum of 250 pictures shot through out the day (but they said usually it's more like 300-400)
and this all costs $4250.
I'm ok with the price but i don't like the fact that they take sooo little pictures through out the day. at my brother's wedding his photographer gave them like 700 proofs. I think it's a little low - what do you guys think?
Also, do most photographers retouch and edit your proofs before you get them? I like that idea.

I think it might be too little, that is the reason we didn't book them. Looking at my friends albums all of them have at least 100 pictures in them (remember they count very picture even the ones that are used as backrounds, if digital album). I would def. keep looking then go back to them if you haven't found anyone else you loved. You should try Deja Vu in Mineola they are great and their prices are right!

Honestly, that is the only reason we did not book them. I didn't want to have to worry that I only had x number of shots left. I would either continue interviewing or see if they are willing to upgrade the amount of pics they take.

We didn't want video because we are gonna spend the extra money on getting a band instead of a dj. And I asked them about a second photographer and they don't give one.

We got our quote from them for 2 photographers!! so something isn't right.

I think that's a bit high for what you are getting. And for so little shots. I am having 2 photographers, and guraenteed about 1500-2000 pics... That's for over 10 hours as well. I also booked video and it all came to 4400. www.celestialphoto.com He's amazing!

Bob at Velvet Studio gave us AT least all of that, plus more, with more like 800 proofs and 2 photographers and he was about the same price. I would call him.
That sounds very high for just one photographer and such a small amount of guaranteed proofs....with all of the photographers out there, I would look elsewhere.

TOO little pics guaranteed. Do they really give you that small amount of pics? asking past brides obviously. I would want at least 800 pics guaranteed or even 600-800 MINIMUM

I'm using a lesser know photographer thats cheaper than that, me and fh also wanted to spend extra money on something and keep the pics simple. The photographer is Motto Photography FM me if you want any info!

wayyy too little photos. and if youre not getting a videographer, you should deffinitely get two photographers imo.
