My cousin posted this on her online journal back in september back when she found out when my wedding date was (which I had planned in my head way longer than her graduation date!)
'Another cousin just recently got engaged and set her wedding date for the night before my graduation - so none of my family can go to the wedding. And they knew it was right before my graduation. Those fuckers. Ugh. No wedding present from me. That's not cool. But my mom and I were talking about it and really, it's just a way for us to save money. And all the family we don't like will go to the wedding and not my graduation so I don't have to deal with the family I hate, and my cousin (who is part of the normal side of the family, which includes, myself, my brothers, my mom, my uncle and aunt , and their four kids, including the soon-to-be bride) gets to deal with my grandma and aunt that we don't like. Soooo props to them. I should have a nice graduation.'

what is she kidding? what a selfish little brat! i mean did she really think no one in her family would ever read that? Are you going to say anything to her? I would...AND I would print out the journal entry in case she tries to act all sweet and cute and deny it...

How old is she? Please tell me this was a HS graduation and not college. None the less it's still rude and obnxious but it a bit more reasonable if it's from the mind of a 16 year old.
I am sure we all have family members that will roll their eyes when they get their STD's..oh another wedding. Don't sweat it. I'm sorry you had to see that.

I was thinking the same thing......You can save a gradutation present and a couple of wedding invitations. You should make a copy of the page of the journal and stick it in her graduation card!

that's my favorite part-- the NORMAL side of the family which includes myself-- YEAH, normal, whatever you say!!!!!!!! lol i'm sorry but i had to point that out--- and i'm SO sorry she wrote that and you had to read it!!! omg! well, i don't know what i would do-- i would like to say, you are better than that-- just ignore her. but if it were me, honestly, i would probably rip her face off. so i don't know if i should be giving you advice lol

YES!! We will ALL get that from family members-- I had to force my cousins to RSVP for my e-party and one said he had work (meanwhile he had two months to call in and get the day off) but they waited until the day after the RSVP date (and that was after my mom mentioned something to my aunt about them not responding). So you are totally not alone in that-- trust me! My one cousin won't even mention my wedding, she is so bitter, she never said congrats, never looked at my ring, walks away when other people bring it up-- she didn't even say anything to me at my own e-party besides hello and bye. ...so you are not alone and we all know how you feel-- it totally stinks!!!
