I found it this weekend at the Wedding Center in Commack, not sure if I would buy from them since I have heard some not so great experiences, but it was $128 with a $65 alterations cap.
Since the wedding is during the day in July, I thought it was fun, flowy and good for any body type dress. Plus my girls might be able to wear it again.
Any feedback, good or bad otherwise is much appreciated! It would not be this color, but the Plum shade if you can check out the swatches.
Thanks!!

Re: What do you think of this BM dress?
The saleslady said that this dress would look good on any body type, because its flowy and if they are bigger chested it has that fabric that lays over the top of it. The price was actually great, I was quoted at $128 and I do love the fact that the girls could wear it again if they want.
I do agree it is less formal and not your typical BM dress, but I think that is what I like about it. Something totally different from your typical dress, plus it's a summer day wedding.
I am choosing between this and a longer dress in satin.
Thanks for your help!

They can DEF wear the dress again! It's a cute dress! You have to be careful with halters though. If none of you girls have broad shoulders then you are in business!!!!

Re: What do you think of this BM dress?
I think if its an afternoon wedding in a very casual location it would be fine. For a more formal evening wedding it might look out of place. I would also make sure all the girls would be comfortable wearing something short like that. Most people assume they won't be showing anything above the knee and if anyone is self conscious about their legs it's something to consider.

I am personally looking for something 'not bridesmaid-y' as well so I really like the idea of it. I also agree that if you are going for a more informal tone, a short dress like this is a great idea.
I think that if your bridesmaids like it and are flattering to them, don't worry about the fact that its not a traditional 'bridesmaid' -- I definitely am not!
