Okay, honest opinions please, a very good friend of mine got married in October, and this photo is of her centerpiece. She is very upset at what she received, she was promised 42 roses in each centerpiece and specified not too much filler.
She was forced to choose between the house florists and obviously is not happy with what she received.
What would you do in this situation?
Thanks for any input!
ETA:: Her wedding was beautiful anyway! (Just wanted to add that because she does read the boards!)

Re: What do you think of this centerpiece?
Too much greenery IMO.
ETA: She should speak to someone at the florist and see if she can get some of her money back. Show them a picture - there is way too much greenery in there and definitely not 42 flowers.

I think she didn't get what she paid for. There's a ton of green filler and there's no way in hell there's 42 roses in there. I would ask for some money back.

I'd be upset too b/c she OBVIOUSLY didn't get what she paid for.
It's a beautiful CP either way, but I'm also the type of bride that wouldn't freak out on the actual day - as long as they're alive - I don't care.

She had a good attitude about it, she said that there's really nothing she can do about it on her wedding day, but just seeing the photos from her wedding opened up the sore wound I guess. I'd be frustrated too, I know she spent a lot of money on her flowers.

there's way too much greenary, some of the roses look like buds and are not fully bloomed, and it looks like there's only about 32 roses.
i would be very upset!

I don't like any greenery at all, so I would be unhappy with those.
Also, there seems to be a hole in the shape of it!

Re: What do you think of this centerpiece?
the top of this particular one looks a little thinned out
otherwise its beautiful - but thats my fear with roses- that i wont get enough or that they wont be full and openend

Don't like it and it looks like its stuffed with greenery and not many flowers! And I am sure it wasn't cheap...

Re: What do you think of this centerpiece?
Hopefully she has the 42 rose thing in writing and with pics she can ask for compensation. But they did use a lot of greenery either way and I do not think ten more roses would have even made a difference. You can only stretch flowers so much. They should have made the arrangement much smaller and condensed. Wish her luck in this situation!

Pretty but too much green!!! I intend on having greenery and fillers in my CPs but that is alot. I would speak to the florist about it, how upsetting it was to her

Too much greenery and not enough flowers. Thankfully the flowers are not something I think people will think about long after the wedding. I know the bride will!! But I don't think in the grand scheme of things wedding related, those CP's are that bad. JMHO.

Re: What do you think of this centerpiece?
I would demand at least some money back. She obviously didn't get 42 roses. I'm like her, I'd rather have a smaller centerpiece with more flowers than greenery, and that's not what she got. If she has it in the contract I would demand money back and call the Better Business Bureau. To me that looks like about 24 roses. Good luck to her.

Re: What do you think of this centerpiece?
I would be very upset. I would take the picture and the contract (which I hope specified 42 roses per CP) and ask for a refund of some part of the price. The filler is exactly what I am worried about with my CP's, so I can sympathize.

Too much filler, and looks a little wilted to me. I wouldn't be very happy

Re: What do you think of this centerpiece?
I'd really need some more info on what she signed up for. First, how much did these cost? Second, there are different 'growth stages' of the roses. Did she ask for that? Some are just buds, others are completely opened up (and probably died the next day) It looks like it could have been assembled better, but you never know what happened to it while it was being set up. I have 1 pic of one of my centerpieces and it looks TERRIBLE. However, that's the one that my in-laws KNOCKED OVER and put back up again. So, something like that could explain the gap in the top of the CP
