This company Watson Adventures designs scavenger hunts for people - either at a museum or a park or all over Manhattan. Really up to you. I was thinking, instead of having a traditional rehearsal dinner (which my fi and i are not big fans of), we could have an organized scavenger hunt. Since everyone in my bridal party is from OOT and most have never been to NYC, it would be a good way to tour the place and still do something for the wedding.
They'd look for stuff and afterwards we'd get together for drinks and the winning group gets a prize. I think it would also be a good way for people to get to know each other. What do you think?

May be a little overwhelming for OOT-ers to get around in Manhattan! I may be a little scared of this one.

Oh they have it so you can it be entirely at Grand Central, or at Met, or a set of indoor places near each other... Completely customizable. And they give you polaroid cameras to take photos that you keep.
If indoors, still overwhelming?

Re: What do you think of this idea?
I think it would be great! I got married at EXACTLY the same time of year as you and my OOT's (especially the Mississippians!!) could not be kept in one spot. They wanted to see everything!! I say go for it!

Re: What do you think of this idea?
I don't know, maybe I am the big party pooper, but I am not sure I would like it. It would depend on how far I was traveling. I lived out west for a long time and came to NY on several occasions for weddings. Usually, I was only here for a few days and it is a long flight, I don't think I would have been up for a scavenger hunt. I would have been more content for the opportunity to have a nice dinner and relax before the wedding. But, if I were driving in from a few hours away, I might have more energy for something like that.
ETA: I might also see it as less time to spend with the bride and groom, and more with strangers I don't know, but that is JMO. You know your guests and can probably guess of that is more their style.

Somebody I know actually did this for her shower. She didn't want the traditional shower. Sounds like fun!

Love the idea, sounds like fun, but where are you having your rehearsal? it may be logistically challenging...but something worth trying.

It sounds really cool! I would love to do one of those - and I think it is a really cool way to entertain your OOT guests. Indoor would probably be best for February.

Re: What do you think of this idea?
I went on a pub crawl/scavenger hunt in NYC last year. It was too funny. We did the village hunt. They passed out digital cameras to document everything. I think it's an awesome substitute to a rehearsal dinner.

I did this at a museum, and it was great. It only took about 90 mins and we saw and noticed things that we would have never seen.

Re: What do you think of this idea?
I would say if you have an adventurous group in your BP & family then go for it. Also I think it may intimidate some people & will you have any alternative for people that truly don't want to be involved?
Also, keep in mind your time of year & the weather

Re: What do you think of this idea?
I think it's a great idea if you keep the list short and keep it at one place like you said (Grand Central, the Met, etc). Good Luck!!!!
