This company Watson Adventures designs scavenger hunts for people - either at a museum or a park or all over Manhattan. Really up to you. I was thinking, instead of having a traditional rehearsal dinner (which my fi and i are not big fans of), we could have an organized scavenger hunt. Since everyone in my bridal party is from OOT and most have never been to NYC, it would be a good way to tour the place and still do something for the wedding.

They'd look for stuff and afterwards we'd get together for drinks and the winning group gets a prize. I think it would also be a good way for people to get to know each other. What do you think?

Love the idea, sounds like fun, but where are you having your rehearsal? it may be logistically challenging...but something worth trying.

My rehearsal is at the Club - on 51st and 5th, across from Rockefeller Center. Talked to the scavenger folks, we'll probably do it at either Grand Central or the Met. What I think is cool is they give each group polaroid cams so you'll get a pic from everyone. And then they plan a get together for drinks after. So excited! Probably going to do this. Yeah!

I went on one of these once - it was a lot of fun and I think it's a great idea. I would just mix OOTer's with locals (to be safe), and my family with FH's because it'd be a great opportunity for the families to get to know each other. Whether you could do it yourself depends on how creative you are and if you're willing to put in some research... I think it's totally do-able, but I do think it would be hard.

Oh my gosh... thank you so very much for sharing this information I never knew that such things existed. I tell you, New Yorkers have no reason to say they are bored, there is so much to get done here. Thanks again!

Oh and I do think it's a fabulous idea to do this as a substitute for the traditional rehearsal dinner. I personally get bored rather easily and having a sit down dinner the night before another sit down dinner certainly goes on my list of BORING!
