what do you think of this idea?

So I am having a very hard time finding a florist in my budget. Maybe what I like is too expensive and I do have a very large bridal party.
So I was thinking to have my bouquet and my MOH's done at a florist. Then I would have the rest
Bm, Gm, MOB, FOB, etc done at Stop n Shop?
I just am having such a hard time finding good prices. I just keep thinking that the flowers are going to die so why spend so much money on them! What do you think?

Re: what do you think of this idea?

I am sure plenty of girls have done supermarket flowers and they have turned out great. Perhaps you can also go to a flower wholesaler (like the ones in NYC) and do it that way.

If you are willing to trade the money for the time to do the flowers then it might be worth it (but remember, because flowers die, you have to do this right before the wedding).

What about doing regular bouquets but having non-floral centerpieces? Like branches, votives, clear rocks, etc? these are things you can make ages in advance.

Re: what do you think of this idea?

well thats a bit of my issue. My rh is providing candelabras for me. I wanted to do something small in the middle of the candelabras but my quotes are still in the 2000 range!! I was thinking of going to Michaels and finding vines or something to go around the candelabra but my bridal party is costing a large amount too. i really dont know what to do and I am completly frustrated!!

Re: what do you think of this idea?

I don't know if you have one near you but my friend works the flower department in whole foods and she said that she does weddings all the time and it is so much cheaper than using a wedding florist! Price around and I am sure you can find something within your budget.

Re: what do you think of this idea?

How much did you want to spend on flowers.

YOu can do great candle centerpieces that is very cost effective.

But stop and shop makes nice arrangements too.
