I recently saw a family tree pin that was designed for step children on a wedding website and I thought it would be a great gift for grandparents (except for the poem that came with them). Today I saw this and I'm thinking of buying it for my grandmothers instead of a corsage for the wedding day. It's to symbolize them as being the roots of my 'new family's' tree.

I think it's a very original idea, and the pin itself is beautiful. Since your not using the saying, maybe you can write something personal for each grandparent. Thats would add a nice touch.

YES! I LOVE IT! i would concider embellishing the pin with a single rose or whatever kinda flower... Just so it adds a little more to the pin.. It might not stand out as much as a flower... I'd add 1 single rose, even one of those mini roses....
