What do you wish wedding magazines had more of? What could you do without? Please answer.

I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on what they look for in bridal magazines and what they really could do without. Thanks.

Less dresses (IMO the dresses are so wacky, they are a waste of space for me). More flowers and cakes!

MORE DRESSES!! more displays of real weddings. What halls REALLY look like when they are decorated. Pictures of halls and vendors for different budgets high and low

I want to see more food ideas and definitely more dresses...how about some ethnic attire to see how other cultures get married. It would make for a great issue I bet...

Some of the editorial pages have really crazy dresses! Girls painted in white, 'hovering' in the air, wearing miniskirt dresses, LOL when FH saw that he thought the dress was for the wedding night...lol

Less advertisements with the same dresses every time (I know that is how they get their $$$, but seriously it takes up like 1/2 the magazine or more)

More - photos of cakes, flowers, hair accessories, extra touches (I love when they have a section with pages of cakes and flowers for the season, or a couple pages with stylish shoes and accesories). I would like to see more pages with photos of extra touches - like cry packs, fans for outdoor ceremonies, favor boxes. Also more photo spreads based on theme colors (like pages showing all the different aspects in pinks, purples, browns, blues).

Obviously I like photos - I hardly read the articles unless they look really interesting I like the articles on personalizing a wedding and budget (although I think some of the ideas are a little out there sometimes!)

I hate when bridal mags have pictures of really weird dresses that normal brides would never wear. More flowers, more BM and mother of the bride dress ideas more cakes.

I'd prefer more pictures from actual weddings and less advertisements. More color scheme suggestions, etc.

I totally agree. I was flipping through one last night and some of the dresses I saw were horrendous ...no one in their right mind would wear some of the stuff they advertise. They definitely need more pics of bouquets and centerpieces

more 'real' dresses not the silly or strange runway ones nobody actually sells or wears. But absolutely need more hair styles and not all up dos I had the hardest time finding a down / half down style for my long thick hair. And more flowers (cps and bo-ks). Honeymoon ideas for people who dont have a million dollars is nice too.

I havent looked at wedding magazines in a while but I would definitely say less dresses with respect to advertising. Each monthly issue seemed to be advertising the same dresses. Also, more centerpiece ideas and more pictures with respect to the little details of weddings. That may come across as inserting actual wedding coverage

More 'real brides.' All the dress layouts are great, but I'd like to see more of what a real bride looks like on her big day rather than a stick thin model.
