What does your card box look like?

The first one is a pic that camerakrazie took at a wedding in October. It looks very nice.

The second one is from a site that came up on a google search.

I think they are actually the same cage, just decorated differently.

I think that with the addition of flowers they could look nice, or even in a gold color so they stand out.

i dont have a pic of mine...but i rented it from a party store...i figured why buy one if i didnt want to keep it anyway...they charge a small fee and you leave a deposit which is returned to you when you bring it back...the box was decorated for my wedding and was in good condition...it was shaped like a real mailbox, all white and didnt need to be placed on a table b/c it had its own stand

I was warned to not get a box or cage that can easily have 'sticky fingers' take cards out of it. Many girls had envelopes taken from their card boxes. The reason we did ours the way we did it is because we actually had to cut open the box from the bottom in order to get the cards out. None stolen.

Yes they have!!!! It boggles my mind!

At my wedding, pretty much everyone handed envelopes to me, DH or our parents - I think just a couple put it directly in our cardbox. So even if your cardbox is obviously made for cards, you probably will end up putting them in there yourself. I would go with something safe - I had mine pinned shut.

We had a traditional one that was a white round box made to look like a cake and then this one that my dad made
