What FLAVOR was your wedding cake?

Just curious as to what your flavor was--I'm thinking of doing something a little 'different' like vanilla cake with pistachio and hazlenut filling. I just don't know if everyone will eat it!

Thats sounds good. As a guest I would like somthing different. We choose half Chocolate Mousse, half Cannoli.

We had vanilla cake (because DH doesn't like chocolate

)

The filling was a mixture of white chocolate moose and fresh raspberries. The outside was fondant. The tartness of the raspberries worked VERY well in the cake. It cut down on the sweetness of the fondant and added a nice flavor.

I dunno, maybe I am silly but I just love plain old vanilla cake with butter cream - like a bday cake. I am not much of a dessert person.

I definitely want to do something different. My sister had 3 layers and 3 different flavors. The first was a little more traditional - marble cake with chocolate mousse. The other layers were chocolate with chocolate mint genache, and chocolate with peanutbutter mousse. I want to maybe do something like vanilla cake with banana creme filling, a dulce de leche layer, a cannoli layer, a chocolate mint layer... so many options!

we did half yellow cake with chocolate mousse and half chocolate cake with cannoli, all covered in buttercream, was really yummy!

it will be vanilla with cannoli. i wanted lemon-i love lemon-but its a more specific taste so FH pointed out more folks will like vanilla. we're getting a grooms cake in chocolate too.
