Everytime you say,,'oh it's just ____(fill in the blank)____ much more'- Those add up to hundreds and then thousands!

don't bug out over the fact that people make more and can spend more then you. Don't go nuts with DIY just do what you really like and skip the b/s that other people might think is cool but you think is stupid.

I have learned that most people DO NOT want to hear about your wedding plans often. Even if they ask, they really are looking for a word one answer like, 'Great'.
That is why I now only talk about it to certain people and the rest will jst be suprised when they come to my wedding.

do not make yourself so crazy over the wedding itself - whatever is going to happen will happen regardless of what you do or say - there is A LOT that is just completely out of your control. Regardless of what happens leading up to the day or on the day itself - it's the wedding itself that is most important - everything else can go to hell - but if you still are able to go to bed that night with your 'husband' then that is alllllll that matters.
it's really easy to get caught up in planning the party that we lose sight of what the party is for.

You learn who your true friends really are and different sides come out of people you would have never imagined.

Actually...i said to my FH last night that in this whole wedding planning process I have learned that most people are not out to sell you things and rip you off...at least that has been our experience...when we first started planning we heard 'oh...when you look at this place for this, they will try to upgrade or sell you this'...blah blah, blah...and I am certain that these people exist, but we have been fortunate enough to deal mainly with straightforward and seemingly honest people so far!!! ![]()

My lesson has definitely been that even though everyone is saying to me, you're the bride it's your job to decide this, you're in charge of the wedding, there are other people who really want to help and support me (FH, both Moms in particular)....

took the words outta my mouth
i tell FH all the time that thank god this wedding happend when it did..because if we would have had to go on any longer with people being fake to us and acting like they truly cared about us as a couple..it just would have been harder to find it out about their characters with time
i have people saying horrible things to me about my marriage..ceremony in particular and i just cant deal with it..they obviously always felt that way it just took something like this to have them tell me the truth

You can't please everyone and you can't worry about everyone else and how their day is going to be, gotta focus on how YOU'RE going to be that day.
