So far I have done everything by myself - ofcourse FH is helping me & My mom is helping a lot as well - you know as far as my dress & opinions & all that but I really dont know what my BM could have helped me with

My only BM is my MOH, my sister ... she hasn't done much, but I haven't asked for much. She is really just a sounding board for me, listening to me whenever I tell her about an idea I have, etc. Honestly, when I was a BM before (and I have been one about 7 times), I didn't do much before the shower rolled around. Mostly, it was the shower planning and bach. party that I helped with - the wedding planning was always the bride. I don't expect my sister to help with planning, really.

one of my bms does alot with me..she got married in 95 and helps me with certain deicisons...came with me when my dress came in
2 bms who are out ofstate haven looked up hair styles and pieces for me...one bm is lending me her slip

BASICALLY NOTHING!
Well my sister gave me my shower and planned my NYC bachelorette party
i did all my invites on my own i did all my rice things alone all they did was help at the shower. i had to do my own destination bachelorete party

Nothing really - Except my sisters have helped my mother give me a headache!!! LOL - One of my friends that was supposed to be a bridesmaid (she got prego and is due around the wedding) is coming with me today to a florist and a photographer for some info - but thats about it!

It's still kind of early for me. My sister is my MOH so she helped pick out a BM dress. She also bought stuff for my shower (she did this over the summer though because she was excited lol). My other BM is coming with me when I order my dress in a few weeks.

they all decided on the dress, and my two MOH's threw my shower. that's it, but the shower is a BIG thing and is much appreciated. i planned my bach party, but they all chipped in.

yeah well my 2 sisters have gone with my dress shopping and my mom - and i know they are both helping wtih the shower & obviously bach party but just wondering because some girls write
My BMS did so much for me. I really dont know what they could have done for me, a lot of the things I WANT to do on my own.
Was just wondering if I was the only one.

Nope - not the only one. I haven't asked for much because I don't really need help (yet) and I like the planning so far! Come August she may need to help me a bit more with DIY things.

Hah!
I feel like I am in this alone. The only one who has done anything is my college roommate (who is also my closest friend).
She listens to my wedding rants and gives me her opinion.
Otherwise, the other 3 are barely interested, in fact, the least helpful are the 2 that are related to me (sister and cousin!)
I am pretty much on my own. At least I get what I want this way!

My sisters do everything for me and the other BM B****es and complains. She likes to start trouble where it doesn't belong. Never tells the truth etc etc etc. I'm starting to think I should have listened to my fiance when he said 'Your asking for trouble by putting her in your wedding'

Well lets see my sister and MOH has been really helpful along with my mom of course. They are great to bounce ideas off of and such. As for my other BM's I would say mainly right now for support and ideas. Some of the girls have come with me to look at dresses and all tried on the BM dresses before i ordered. Once the shower stuff comes up and the Bachelorette party i know they will be busy. I guess the main thing is to listen to my incessant talking about my wedding! lol For some reason i think everyone wants to talk about wedding all the time..lol...I know which ones of my BM's do and which ones don't...of course my MOH and mom must be tired of listening to me cause they don't have a choice!

I guess I wasn't a Bride who was looking for help with the wedding planning from her Bridesmaids .... I don't know why, I just didn't really feel like I needed it.
They did offer me advice whenever I needed it (which didn't turn out to be as often as it would have been if it wasn't for LIW ), especially since 3 of my 5 girls were already married.
* 2 of them came with me for BM dress shopping.
* They ordered their dresses in a reasonable time frame.
* They came to fittings -- some of them had multiple fittings
* They worked with my Mom to put together an incredible Bridal Shower for me.
* They planned a Bachelorette Party for me, and dealt with a HUGE change in plans when I didn't feel up to a night on the town and switched gears to a nice dinner out locally. Without so much as a whimper
* They offered to come help me put together all my last minute projects, even though I didn't end up needing the help.
* They were there for me on the Big Day.
* They helped keep me calm when our limo got stuck in the MUD and the driver asked the Groom and the GM to get out and try pushing the limo out of the MUD in their TUXEDOS!

I haven't really asked too much from them either. I know if i asked any of them they'd help me. I guess it's not their job to constantly ask if i need anything. If you feel they aren't helping i'd ask them for it...

Nothing really my moh helped me look for my dress and with shoes but i did the majority on my own she got engaged after I did and has planned her wedding for Nov. so I backed away and left her to plan her day as I keep planning mine If I need help I know they will more then gladly step in

My cousin (MOH) threw my bridal shower. No one has really done anything else (and I have 7 bm's!!) In their defense..a lot of them are Oot. THe one bm in town has offered to help but always at times when I don't need her. It's tough!!
