Well which day is more important to your familiy?

honestly - both we do both days equally - same amount of food same amount of fanfare

we have a million fish(es?) on christmas eve but then on christmas day we have lasagna, pineapple ham, roast beef, falsomagro ( dont ask its a sicilian thing) chicken cutlets, chick cut parm, turkey breast. . . . that is not including all the sides!


i mean i have been picking christmas day all these years because that is when we open the presents but then i miss all the christmas eve stuff - we eat until midnight and then we put the baby jesus in the manger and change the color light over him from green to red and watch the mass on the italian channel . . . and put cookies out for santa ( for the babies. . . .yea right lol)

I'm working Christmas eve into Christmas morning. I'll probably . most of the day.

we split up for the holidays

FH is from upstate so he leaves to go up the day before xmas eve and is gone until the day before new years. I spend it obviously with my family down here.

We always joke that we need to where signs on Christmas day that says 'He/She's fine, he/she's with his/her own family' Beacuase our families are always asking where the other one is.

omg i know what you mean - FH works for every single holiday that is not in the dead of winter - so for easter, fathers day, mothers day, and family BBQs - its like 'OMG ARE YOU GUYS STILL TOGeThEr' and 'WHY CANT HE CLOSE THE STORE FOR JUST ONE DAY' all day - so i need one of those signs too. . .

i also need a sign that says 'IF HE CLOSES THE STORE FOR ONE DAY WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD THIS WEDDING!'

Hey I'm going to NC too! When are you going? I'm leaving 12/21 and not coming back until 12/26 - Yay - I can't wait to see FH!!!

FMIL sings in the church choir so christmas eve we're going to church. Then after we're going to one of my favorite restaurants for dinner then go to his house and exchange gifts.

CHristmas day we are spending with my family and having dinner there

I'm so jealous of everyone that is going to be in a warm climate!

For Christmas Eve, FH and I will go to my aunt's house and then we'll go to his aunt's house. On Christmas Day, we'll go to his house and then to my house.

Very close, i'm leaving 12/22 and not coming back till 12/27, can't wait!! Glad you're getting to see your FH

lots of travelling!

Fri-sat = my dad's house
sat-sun = my mom's house
xmas eve = gma's house w/my mom's side of the family
late xmas eve = back to our apt to do our own mini xmas (we exchange gifts)
xmas morning = fh's parents house
xmas dinner - depends who is hosting it!

FH and I will be at my house on Christmas Eve and I will be at his house on Christmas...even thought my whole family is in New Jersey at my step dads house
