We always spend Christmas eve with FH's family. We go to his cousins house and have dinner. This year FH wants to go into the city like we did last year when he proposed, but I dont know if i want to.

Christmas morning is when my family exchanges presents. My family from upstate and Jersey are coming in and we are having dinner at my (my parents) house.

Mine too! I just put up our stockings and tree yesterday!

I am obsessed with it too. My house will be exactly the same way. This year at my house(parents house) all we really did was the tree. Usually we have all the outside lights, the stairs, and something in every single room. But since all the deaths in the family, we're not doing any of that. Its really depressing me. Its not the Christmas I'm used to.. I said next Christmas I am going ALL OUT at home since it will be my last christmas before i have a place of my own.

My sister is obsessed!!! My house looks like santas work shop...lol She does it every year. And she tells me when I have my house she is going to do my house too...lol

We are going to my FH mom's cousins for xmas eve and my inlas will come to my (my parents) house for xmas day.

i know im crazy!

i looove christmas decorating. . . we have the tree up and we are doing the outside this week at some point!

i know what you mean though - last year my grandma passed away in october so we only did a tree no outside lights and i was sooo upset it didnt feel like christmas!

anyway, for christmas we are going to his house for christmas eve, they open presents at midnight after a big all fish dinner

then, christmas morning we open presents at my house and then eat a huge meal

we usually stop by his aunts house after we eat though for some dessert

i reeeeeaaaallly want to do christmas eve at my house though since my fmaily does the traditional dinner of all fish and i LOVE the clams, calamari, mussels etc i dont like the baccala though ew

anyways - i want eve but i also want christmas day so i dont know how to compromise that LOL

honestly - both we do both days equally - same amount of food same amount of fanfare

we have a million fish(es?) on christmas eve but then on christmas day we have lasagna, pineapple ham, roast beef, falsomagro ( dont ask its a sicilian thing) chicken cutlets, chick cut parm, turkey breast. . . . that is not including all the sides!


i mean i have been picking christmas day all these years because that is when we open the presents but then i miss all the christmas eve stuff - we eat until midnight and then we put the baby jesus in the manger and change the color light over him from green to red and watch the mass on the italian channel . . . and put cookies out for santa ( for the babies. . . .yea right lol)
