after the ceremony when you walk out of the church....bubbles, bird sead, rose pedals.etc
I really hate the bubbles cause everytime I go to a wedding with them my hands get sticky. ewwwwww

Were going with Rose Petals, and I'm making cone holders for them! Not real rose patals though, the silk ones. Sounds silly but i dont want the color coming off of the real rose petals cause it may be hot out! They'll bake and wilt! no good.
Going to make them in April, so i'm not doing it the night before with real ones!

I just found out we can't throw anything...we are gonna do dowels because the last wedding I went to even though there were a lot of people the bubbles didn't come out great
what do you mean dowels?

I don't think we are going to do anything. We bought bubbles but I heard it can stain my dress.

Bubbles, having an outdoor ceremony so I think it would be really nice in the pictures as we walk up the aisle together

I think she means the ribbon wands that are attached to dowels.
Our church technically only permits bird seed, but we used streamer throws. The streamers stayed attached to the capsule you hold in your hand, so clean up was really easy and it looked great in the pictures.

we are not doing the church but doing our ceremony outside and we are going to give guests flower petals to toss as we walk back down the aisle together.

I like the idea of the balloons, but my only concern for that would be the environmental one... cause i'm a dork...
We're not allowed to throw anything either. FH's cousin got married at our church and did bubbles... are there any other idea besides the ribbon wands? And how do those work? I hadn't thought about this!

Our Church has a second wedding scheduled about 30 minutes after ours ends, so we aren't allowed to really do anything. They have a no rice/birdseed rule, but also said no to petals, which I wouldn't do anyway. I had gone to a family friends wedding and the bride had stepped on a petal and slipped, nearly falling down the steps. They said ok to bubbles, but had 'rules' about them, they've had people leave the containers and wands behind. Also, I'm scared I'll have a bubble pop in my eye and it'll ruin my makeup all day. (seen that happen too) I wanted to do a butterfly release, but FH said no, he thinks they will all die. And the church doesn't want dead butterflies everwhere. We can't do balloons because they are harmful to the environment and if they pop there will be pieces of balloon everywhere. FH wants to use sparklers, I don't- yea hi, because I want our 2 and 3 year old niece to run into them and poke an eye out! I'm going to come up with something, I just don't know what yet.

I was thinking either rose pedals or sparklers! A friend of my used sparklers and it looked really really nice!

I'm using bubble because I'm not using flowers at the wedding but seeing as thought it iz on 4th of July weekend I wanted 2 use sparkler but FH hates the idea.
