What is everyone doing for favors and prices?

I want something personalized, and a keepsake, but not more than $2.00 per item. My ideas so far: -heart shaped cookie cutters w/ recipe & poem -packet of wildflower seeds w/ poem and our names/date -bookmarks w/ poem and our names/date

What is everyone doing for favors and prices?

We used full sized bottles of wine that had our name, date and picture on them. I don't remember exactly how much they were, it was somewhere in the ballpark of $5 per bottle.

Go to wrapwithus.com or you can visit them in Syosset. They have good stuff and they are not that expensive. We got the silver plated dolphin bottle opener for about $2.25.

JennRenee

where did you buy those wine bottles? I was thinking about giving out champagne bottles, but I can only find the small ones. The full sizes that I saw were at least $10 each. Thanks

What is everyone doing for favors and prices?

We are doing shot glasses. I paid $1.50 a glass. They are a Hot shot size so they are larger then a regular shot glas and they personalize them with your names and date.

What is everyone doing for favors and prices?

I bought ball candle holders from Yankee candle clearance...$1.13 each (originally $4.50) and now I am trying to find the right size candle...I found one that was a little big for $1 each...so hopefully I can keep them under $3 total..

What is everyone doing for favors and prices?

Hi- I love all of your ideas. I originally wanted to do the 'seed thing', but then we set a December date, and I chose to do a winter theme, and that idea was thrown out the window! I love to write poetry, so I had so many ideas in my head to go with the seeds, but oh well...I think the seeds would be nice if you're getting married in warmer weather. We are probably going to buy mugs in bulk from oriental trading, and fill them with hershey kisses and hot cocoa, but I'm not positive. I hope to keep the cost to $2.00/favor as well...Good luck!

What is everyone doing for favors and prices?

If I use picture frames for the seating cards, do people realize that that is their favor and take them? I want to do the picture frames and the bells...and the Jordan almonds (FI is Italian). The Wrap With Us has the best bell prices I have seen on the bells. FI liked the Mikasa candy dishes on the site. Time to narrow down the options.

DianaL - frames as placecards...

I would think, because it has become more popular, that people would know to take the frame which is doubling as a place card holder, but this is what happened to my friend just this past October... Instead of frames, she bought these adorable bud vases that doubled as place card holders. At the end of the wedding, only about 1/2 the guests took them home. I don't know if this sounds cheesy, but maybe some sort of sign or little poem in a larger frame somehow telling your guests to take the frame home? I think this would have worked better for my friend! Good luck!

Teri

We got our wine at the Pindar Wine store in Port Jeff. I don't think they carry champagne, but it can't hurt to ask! : )

re: bnjoyful

I called the yankee candle catalog number. It's 1-800-243-1776. You get to choose any fragrance/color and can mix them up. It's $2.55 per candle plus tax and shipping. You also get to choose from several different types of labels. You can call up and request a catalog to see all the different samplers.

What is everyone doing for favors and prices?

I`m doing chocolate heart boxes and filling them with little chocolates or Jordan Almonds. My mom and I are going to make them, wrap them and probably use personalized ribbons.

re: 74bride..yankee candle catalog.vs in store?

I went to the Yankee Candle store at The Source Mall in Westbury. They told me I had to order through the phone for wedding orders.......they are the small votives (around 2 inches). It costs more if you want them done with tull and bows, etc., but I'm doing that part myself. Each candle comes wrapped in celephane with the label of your choice.
