if you do not own a home yet, what is one thing it must have before you buy it & why?
or, if you have a house, what was one thing you needed it to have before buying it & why?
I dont have a house yet, but when we buy one it must have 2 bathrooms and they better be big! there is nothing worse than sharing a small bathroom with fh!! it gets dirty easier & its too cramed!! i want a his & hers bathroom! lol

when looking at houses the main things they must have for me to even consider going to look:
an office for FH & all his computer stuff two full bathrooms lots of counter space in the kitchen a basement that can be finished & rented out

our two requirements were:
garage - this was for fh...you cannot believe how many houses in CT don't have garages
2 bathrooms - another tough one but we did get 2, but one will be gutted and redone.

The 3 must haves were:
1. for FH a big garage for his tools and for his race car to fit in
2. long enough drive way that his truck and trailer for race car could fit
3. big kitchen for me, which we gutted made a completely new kitchen for me and i absolutely love it

Definitely:
- Two bathrooms! - Two+ bedrooms! - And if we go to CT up in Hartford then at least 0.5 acre of land. (I don't want the neighbors that close)

I'd say good closet space, a backyard or a terrace, and at least 1 1/2 bath.

We had more than one:
2+ bedrooms At least 1 1/2 bathrooms Driveway Yard Basement Good school district
Those were our required criteria. If the houses didn't have those, we didn't look.

...a walk in closet where I can finally house all my clothes and shoes comfortably!

closet space is important!!!! 2+ bedrooms dining room, or big enough LR to partition. PARKING!!

when we bought ours it had to have.........

a veryy large walk in closet--fh shops more than i do lol..i would honestly consider turning a bedroom into a closet depending on the number of bedrooms..
a large kitchen with up to date appliances..
an extra bedroom for my library..such a dork

fh & i, who are from pa, have been looking for a new apartment, but its so hard to find ones that will allow pets & we have a dog
our apartment now is great. its big, has 2 bedrooms, washer & dryer, heat is included, great location...we can let our dog out to run at night with no worries b/c we are in the middle of nowhere..but our landlord is a d-bag & suddenly has a problem with the dog...he b!tched becasue the snow was turing yellow from the dog peeing, he complained about a little hole, and he said if his son moves in to the apartment below the dog probably wont be able to stay...seriously, what the heII??? so we know once our lease is up at the end of april he is going to tell us no dog.... we have another apartment lined up, but i want a bigger one.. :sighh::

We would want
Storage space (we are cosidering moving down south, very few places have a basement) 3 Bedrooms At least 1 & 1 1/2 bathrooms Good schools and neighborhood Nice size kitchen
Our only criteria for our current apt was that they allow cats....we ended up finding such a awesome place!!!

i have a pretty long list
2 bathrooms 3-4 bedrooms basement (that we can finish or already finished) washer dryer north shore suffolk closet space nice yard sidewalks NOT a busy street and a garage would be a nice bonus
yeahhh... its a nice wish list. not gonna get all those things for our price range.
