I always seem to be breaking out with a few pimples,-sometimes one or two, somestimes more, and on the rare occassion, my skin is totally clear. I know a lot has to do with hormones and my menstrual cycle, but I don't need any of these annoying occurences on my wedding day. I've tried so many products, and nothing seems to work. Does anyone know of an over-the-counter acne cream, or home remedy that really works. Thanks...

All of a sudden, these past few months, my face started breaking out..so I went to the derm and asked around..this is what Ive found...vitamins with iodine can trigger acne...GNC sells a mega woman with no iodine, also around the time of your month, take a B complex..a deficiency of vitmain B can also trigger acne, Repachage drying lotion is a miracle medicine, its like white out, put it on any pimple and it will be GONE ...I love this stuff. My derm and regular doctor confirmed the vitamin stuff, so now Im taking GNC and a Bcompex 50 and I havent had a breakout AT ALL. Im also washing with Triaz, that was prescription..but its not real storng because Im hoping to get pregnant soon. My skin is GREAT right now ( knock on wood) and I really think its from these vitamins.

I was breaking out also. Cetaphil and Oxy 10 Maximum Stegnth have cleared me up.

When I have breakouts I use something by Johnson and Johnson I am forgetting the name right now, but it works great...

Hi! repachage you can buy online or at any salon that carries the repachage line..my friend who introduced it to me bought it where she gets waxed, then I found at Emiliani's ( my sister is a stylist) but I also orederd it online. Ebay has it for really cheap, but Im wondring how they can sell it for 8 bucks when I got it at cost for 12. You can do an online search under Repachage..Ill try and do a quick search for you and see if I cant find where I just ordered my last one from. I LOVE this stuff, but since Ive been taking the vitamins..I havent even needed the drying lotion! I didnt believe when I heard it because Ive always broken out when its that time of the month..but then I looked it up online and it also said about the B complex around your menstrual cycle..it really helps!
This place has it for 19 bucks...its sold in salons for 24. You can shop around...look up Repechage clear complexion drying lotion I SWEAR by this stuff...its really dries out any pimple..as soon as you feel it beginning, slp this on and it will be gone!!! It lasts along time too!! I wish i could send you alittle just to try...its great stuff!!

Thank you so much Alicia, you're a sweetheart. I appreciate your advice. Right after I read your post, I checked my vitamin, and sure enough it had iodine. I'm planning on going to GNC today, and picking up what you suggested. I also read your post about your upcoming surgery. That's awful what your husbands insurance company did. There must be some way that you can get compensated for their wrongdoing. What they did sounds totally illegal. I wish you all the best with your surgery. I'll say a prayer.- Debbie...

Let me know if the repechage works for you. I am going to the dermatologist soon--I don't usually break out, but I am afraid with the stress I will break out for the wedding! Has anyone else had good experiences with proactive? I have heard mixed things about it...

I swear by Mario Badescu drying lotion. I dont break out often, but last summer for some reason I was getting so many pimples around my forehead that wouldnt go away, I tried so many different acne medications and nothing worked. At a suggestion of a friend who had once had terrible acne and this worked for her, I tried it and it worked like magic. I couldnt believe it, in like 2 days my problem was gone. (this sounds like a commercial, doesn't it?!-but I'm serious, this stuff is awesome!) You can order it online, they sell it at nordstroms and the Mario Badescu salon is in the city. They also give the BEST facials-all of their products are reasonable priced, I think the drying lotion is around $18. Good luck!

I am using Proactiv. I started using it about 2 weeks ago. I think my skin is better.
