What is the best flavor wedding cake you ever had?

just wondering...

my family and friends keep telling me I have a lot to live up to from the Napolean cake we had at our Engagement Party... it was PHENOMENAL. I want to make sure our wedding cake is awesome. Just wondering what some WOW cakes are for you girls out there.

Hey... I wonder if that bakery in the Bronx can make a Napolean Grooms cake with a Yankee theme... ya think?

we had chocolate with some sort of raspberry filling and it was to die for!! From black forrest bakery.

No cake really stands out in particular except the ones that have buttercream icing (it's my favorite )

we got devils food - with choc moose and rasp filling - i cant wait - i go to black forest on thurs to finalize 'the look'..

I remember our cake and a friends cake. Hers had a thin layer of cheesecake (plus chocolate cake and almond pound cake) and each layer of her cake was made of all three types of cake. It had buttercream icing. It was sooo great!!! This was August 05 and I still remember her cake

Strawberry Shortcake with whipped cream icing!
I actually do not even LIKE cake normally, but when I tasted this cake it was amazing!

I love chocolate cake with raspberry and cannoli filling- that is what we are doing

I tasted an almond flavored cake at my friend's wedding (I don't think it had any special filling), and it was AMAZING. The cake was moist and simple. Her baker is from DC.

I also like chocolate mousse fillings in wedding cakes. We had vanilla cake with chocolate mousse filling for our cake.

Ours

My wedding cake filling was: chocolate cake with hazelnut filling imbibed with Frangelico --- tasted just like the Baci chocolates - here's a picture
