What is the most memorable?

If you are from an Italian family like I am, it's the FOOD!! My family remembers every resturant they ever ate in and keep files on them! It's insane!

Music. I think the entertainment can make or break a wedding. I went to a wedding where the band was awful but I don't remember what I had to eat though

For me it is most memorable if I have fun and usually that is a result of good music. (Also, when the bride and groom look like they are dancing and having fun - it gives the crowd more energy.)

Food will also make a wedding stand out to me. Lots of good food!!!

Re: What is the most memorable?

I would say...

Music
Food
Drinks

Good music can make any party wonderful. Bad music on the other hand can ruin it. We have been to many weddings where the band ****ed and we talked about it for years...made the party very boring.

Food is important but IMO doesn't need to be the best ever. I usually don't remeber wedding food unless its god awful.

Drinks....One of the most important things IMO. I was in event planning for many many years and as long as the bar was flowing and the bartenders were good, the party rocked. We went to a wedding once where they closed the bar in the main reception room for 30 minutes as guests were entering and it but a damper on things. Everyone was looking for drinks whether it is alcoholic or not : ).

def Music and food.. but also the PEOPLE... I've been to weddings where the couple has dished out soo much money and FH and I have had the WORST time!! some people are soo DAMN boring and can really bring you down.. so I guess that drinks come into play as being imp. too, lol cause that's when you need it the most!

so true....people are soo important...I told my mom when she wanted to invite her friends that they can only come if they are dancers...I don't want a whole table sitting and looking bored lol.

People talk mostly about the food. Then they say what a great time it was. The band is what gets them up & dancing ... if they're into dancing. We had several tables of people who didn't really dance, but had a roar at their table & at the bar. I thought they were bored b/c they weren't dancing, but they just wanted to enjoy themselves w/their friends! Fine by me!
