Ok mine is that my sons are walking me up the aisle my Dad is gone:(
our invitations include our kids they are the one requesting the 'precense'
oh I forgot we are having a cake for FH parents and a special celebration for them it will be their 50th wedding anniversary

awww girls these ideas are so great! ok, so me & Michael are dancing to a fast song as our first dance instead of a slow song. I think its kinda neat and different and we are inviting all our guests to share the dance with us. Using mini pumpkins as our seating cards. And, putting our parents wedding pics on display on the piano in the cocktail hour room.

So far that's all.....but I'm looking for more unique ideas!

Are you going to use the reg. orange pumpkins or the white ones? I have tons of pics of a wedding where they used white pumpkins if you'd like them!

Well, I thought this was original.....but I'm not so sure b/c although lots of girls 'thought' about doing it, I haven't found an actual picture of a real one yet...

LOL!!! We had an icecream cake at our Engagement Party. I wanted to do something for FH and he LOVES ice cream and Poker!

It went over really well- everyone loved it and his friend did a great job making it! It's a great idea!

I've got several:

my daughter announcing me into the church right before i walk down the aisle.

since my 4 yr old daughter is from a previous relationship, my FH and I going to get her a little ring and include her in the ceremony - like she's getting married to him too as her new father.

my sister singing to me as a walk down the aisle, no one knows but her and my coordinator!!

butterfly release when we walk out the church

....i got more but i'll stop with those!! Too much huh??

I dont know if this is original exactly but I knew I wanted pink flowers and then when I decided to have chamagne as favors, I had a vision to incorporate green flowers into the CPs because of the green bottles.

Some things that are original (I think):

- FH meeting me halfway down the aisle and lifting my veil

- All the little tags and things that I made - including the accents on them like eyelets and things. I designed everything myself.

I have zero original ideas!

Though, after my friend's brothers wedding i told her i wanted a huppa (sp?) and i'm catholic, so it would be original for a non-jewish wedding

I am having a friend who is great at origami make little sailboats out of origami paper. I am going to put people's names and table assignments on them and use them as seating cards.

Our favors are kind of unique. Going with a nautical theme, we decided to buy deck prisms because of their fascinating history. In the old days, long before electricity, deck prisms were imbedded in the top deck of sailing vessels to reflect light down below to the lower decks. Today they are used as paperweights or sun catchers. (They are about 3-4 inches tall). We found prisms that come in great mini-canvas bags with rope drawstring (looks nautical) with a tag explaining their history.

Hands down- the lighthouse centerpieces! Oh, and the lemonade stand outside the church to keep the guest cool on hot day. The rest I have stolen from all of you- votive placecards, bathroom baskets, etc.

Nautical bride! I love the sailboat placecards and the prism favors! AWESOME!!!!

Well, I don't consider my ideas original.. just more so creative and different... I have found in wedding planning- nothing is entirely original!

comic book favors...up in the air when we REALLLLY thought about the price. So, now we're thinking of incorporating in other ways....who knows!

not much originality, except its in vegas.. but thats not original.. only on this board it is.... it will def be the kitchiest of the group!

I thought I had some until I read all of these fabulous ideas. I guess the most original would be the fact we're having two wedding songs or the 'Rose Ceremony in our ceremony. The rose ceremony isn't really my idea, it's the officiants so I can't take credit.
