probably not the most unique ... but we are having a garden recpetion and we are doing potted plants for the centerpieces. They serve 2 purposes... keep with the surrounding and CHEAP! They should be about $30 a table!

Not as original as I initially thought but I am having a 'Perfect Pair/Pear' theme... I found Pear candles to give as favors but they were too expensive so I am making them myself.

Also, the day after our wedding is Father's Day so we want to do something to honor all the fathers at our wedding. Haven't figured anything out yet so if any of you creative girls have a good idea... PLEASE SHARE

I think our favors. Although we haven't ordered them yet, FI and I were talking about first donating money to the American Cancer Society but then also making a donation to the Lance Armstrong Foundation and giving everyone a 'Livestrong' bracelet to take home!

PerfectPair...to honor the fathers at your wedding, you could always have a dance set aside inviting all dads/daughters to dance...

OR...like some people have a b-day cake at their wedding (if its someones b-day that day), you could have a special fathers day cake? Maybe an ice cream cake??

These are just two inexpensive but cute ideas i could think of...if you wanted to spend more $, you could always have a section where the fathers could take a cigar or something?

(1) my FH's bday is on Sept. 5 (we get married on Sept. 4, but our reception goes until 12:30 AM, so at 12:00 AM I am surprising him with a bday cake)

(by the way, NO, I don't feel bad that our anniversary is going to be the day before his bday...my bday is 1 week before valentine's day, so now we'll both be equally $crood. )

(2) instead of favors we're donating to the part North Shore University Hospital where my mom treated for breast cancer (Don Monti Memorial Research Foundation)

nothing original! everything is inspired by something or someone. sad, but true. we are having a saber arch, and i plan on FH getting swatted too, since I was also an officer, which I've never seen done, but the arch isn't original.

maybe i'll think of something unique between now and then if i don't keel over from all the stress and planning!

This is what i'd LIKE to do..but don't know how $$ it'll be...

Being that i am irish and FH is italian, I came up with the idea to give each couple a mini bottle of Sambuca and a mini bottle of Baileys...and the ribbon tied around the holder will say 'The Gaelic meets the Garlic'

I would love to do this idea...but where can i find a bulk amount of mini liquor bottles? Not sure..

i think the most original thing i have is using tea pots for the flowers for my cps..
