What is the next vendor you want to book?

I want to book the videographer next. I have so many price quotes I just don't know who I should go with.

What about everyone else? What's next on your list?

What is the next vendor you want to book?

We just recently decided we are able to add video because my grandma is going to give us the money as a gift (thank god for her!). So I'm going to e-mail my photographer (Capture the Moment) to add the video onto my package.

FH is going to air traffic control academy in Oklahoma on February 2nd and he will be gone for 4 months (comes back beginning of June and we may have to move off of LI), so we actually have gone to a couple of places to look at edible favors (we decided we're going with Afresh Approach), and I want to start looking at limos! I want to get everything booked by June just in case I have to move!

What is the next vendor you want to book?

Limos/shuttles are next. We've been thinking about them and it is really hard coordinating shuttles and limos.

You're not far behind at all!!!! We are getting married in October and we only get engaged the last week of November so we only have 11 months to plan and I don't feel stressed at all so you have PLENTY of time.

What is the next vendor you want to book?

Next for us is limo but we're in no rush. That and hair/makeup. But I won't do that until I find a dress hopefully in the spring.

Personalities just seemed to jive better with certain florists. We looked at their pictures, read reviews and I basically knew going into our meetings exactly who I wanted to work with. A good florist will have options and suggestions for you as far as design, flowers type, budget and ways to save money etc. we booked hidden essence, really liked Bella flowers and were highly disappointed with burton flowers.

What is the next vendor you want to book?

I got engaged the weekend of New Years Eve but were not going to do the engagement party until July. Does that sound weird? Is that too long to wait for the engagement party? We have the place for the party and a guest list we just didn't send invites for the engagement party yet since it's so far away. If we pick the venue I think we will pick I know what kind of centerpieces I want and I think I can make them myself (to save on costs) is anyone else incorporating DIY stuff in their wedding?
One odd question for brides who are inviting kids to weddings: I LOVE kids, I think they really make a party fun I have roughly 15 kids I am inviting... do most venues have like children's prices? I cant see myself paying like $90 for chicken fingers and fries...

It is not weird at all to wait on the engagement party. We got engaged in June this past summer and then had our engagement party in September. especially with a long engagement it's okay to wait till when it's most convenient for everyone. Also I know for a fact Jericho terrace does kids prices for the wedding and it's significantly less than the normal per head price. Also if you're inviting kids to your engagement party, the restaurant we used also had a kids price too! I agree with you, kids make te party so fun! Happy planning!

What is the next vendor you want to book?

Oh, that's fantastic to know! Thank you! I feel like if I at least get my venue and date booked everything else will slowly take its time to be planned. We're thinking July for the engagement party and then its only Bridal shower and bachelorette party after that so those can all come closer to the wedding anyway. Anybody have a good videographer recommendation? I have a photographer in mind but she works alone so I need a separate person for video. I feel like I know I wont watch it that often but it's nice to have.

I got engaged the beginning of June and had my engagement party the very end of September. It's not too long to wait to have the party's. As far as kids prices, my venue is charging me 50% of the adult prices for kids but it's only children 4-12 years old.

Oh ok so I'm not late with everything im doing. I keep reading on websites that most engagement parties are like 3-4 months after you get engaged and mine would be 6 months after we got engaged. My fiancé just wanted to enjoy the whole planning process and not have any stress. Yeah I think the oldest kid I have coming is about 11 so I am hoping they can do something on the pricing of kids for me.
