What is the rudest comments anyone has made to you?

I saw this post on another board and it was very funny. Brides posted some of the rude and insensitive things that people have said to them. I'll go first- I got my e-photos back and LOVED them! My stepmom looked at the photos, which had a pretty filter effect on some, and said, 'These are blurry. I hope your wedding photos are not like this'. They are NOT blurry, the photos are filtered. It seems she likes the Sears portrait studio shot best.

I used to eat like there was no tomorrow and never gain weight. There was one point, while in law school, that I would eat McDonalds at least once a day, frequently twice. It was right across the street from the school! And I never exercised.

Well, then my metabolism caught up with me. Gone were the days of fast food. I started to eat right and exercise, but I have gained close to twenty pounds in the last two years.

I have told several friends that one of the reasons I want to hold off on looking at dresses is that I am not sure if I am going to keep gaining weight. This is how they all respond, believing that this is nice - 'You were too skinny before. Really you looked like you had an eating disorder. Everyone thought you were bulemic. You look sooooo much healthier now.'

Talk about your backhanded compliments! If you knew someone who LOST twenty pounds would you tell them that they were soooo fat before or that they looked obese?? Of course not.

One of my BM's did not like the BM dress that I chose so she told me that when she went to the store to order it the girls there laughed hysterically and told her that 'they couldn't believe that someone actually picked this thing.'

My rudest comment???? 'Awww! your ring is soooo cute!'

The future mother in law of a friend of mine actually said that to me!

How rude! (I don't find anything cute about a 2 ct. diamond ring with another 1.5 cts. on the band- do you?????)

When I finally saw my friend's ring, I could see why she made that comment- jealousy!

**** side note**** PLEASE DON'T THINK THAT I AM INTO THE WHOLE SIZE ISSUE, OBVIOUSLY SHE WAS!

rudest comment....

I went to the Dr. cuz I'm trying to lose weight...and he said to me, 'You'd be such a pretty girl, if only you could lose some weight.'
Needless to say, he is no longer my Dr.
And, for those of you who are interested, I have lost 10 lbs, thank you very much!! :)

I can not beleive that a doctor (or anyone else for that matter) would say such a horrible thing. That dr is totally unprofessional.

..was from my co-worker - who tried to remind me in a `friendly` way to start dieting so I could fit into my wedding gown...!!!

my rudest comment...

The woman at the ring counter at Fortunoff. I asked her to see an eternity style wedding band and she whispered to me- You don`t want one of those they are so out of style. P.S. before getting engaged I wore an eternity ring from my fiance on that finger for 5 years.

'Awww! your ring is soooo cute!'-kelly4 I can relate!

I got the same thing from FH's best friend's cousin! Although my ring is not as big as yours (which sounds beautiful by the way but I am tiny and am a simple person with little girl hands) and it wasn't as large as FH's best friend's wife, my center stone is much clearer and more white than the wife. Hers really looks fake! Especially since he didn't get the ring insured and here I am running to get mine b/c I am so scared of what may happen to it. They went for size rather than quality and to be honest when I stood next to the wife, my ring stood out b/c of the brilliance. To think what FH spent on the ring and to think what his best friend spent on it. I laugh! We got the better deal!
BTW ladies, just laugh off the negative comments, I did. All I said was thanks for your comment, but I think its beautiful! Although inside I was ready to tell her a thing or two.

Well, I have to say that I am happy to have someone else share my rudest comment!

Also, Color and clarity are the most impt. feature of a stone! I would rather have a .25 very brillant and flawless stone than a big 3 ct. yellowish flawed stone!

YOur ring sounds beautiful as well. Brillant stones definately stand out! Even though my stone is big, My FH's friends are all wealthy and gave their wives/FW really huge stones, but mine is also brillant and colorless like yours. I definately would not trade it for the world as it stands out on it's own and puts theirs to shame! I was very lucky on the stones in my ring b/c my FH's parents own their own jewlery store and hand picked my stones - my FH also got it for a lot less $.

Anyway- Poo Poo to those who make these jealous remarks! Wear your ring with pride! It definately sounds like a beauty!

(Sorry for rambling on!)

I would be furious with her! She doesn't deserve to be your MOH.

When I came into work, one of my co-workers, who I hadn`t been getting along with looked at my ring and called my FH a cheap bastard. The reason being that my center stone is 4 smaller diamonds together in what is called an invisible setting.
Some history: My FH was going to propose on New Years Eve, but proposed to me shortly after 9/11 as I work in the city. He hd completely freaked out that if anything ever happened to me, I would never know what he had planned to do. In any case, we had agreed that as part of my wedding gift, we would upgrade the stone. Now, my co-worker never knew any of this, but still, what kind of comment is that!
On top of it, another co-worker who`s husband has a jewelry shop, said 'invisible settings are great for people trying to save money' What is up with these people??? I`m getting angry all over again just writing this. But thanks for letting me vent again...

I must be really lucky

I haven't had anyone say any kind of rude comment to me. At least not that I can think of. And I haven't heard through the grapevine about anything.

More annoying than rude comments...

When some people hear that we are getting married on Friday the 13th, their reactions are annoying. They say 'ooooo....Friday the 13th' or 'aren't you afraid something is going to happen'...it used to upset me, but now I just tell them to GET OVER IT. I just tell them I'm not worried that zombies are going to crawl out from under the tables or pop out of the cake, and that pretty much leaves them giggling, but lets them know how ridiculous they sound too!
