I think my reception is going to cost $20,000, but that is just the place. I have no clue what flowers, photo/video, and a band cost. Can anyone help?

Our RH will probably be around the same price - we're budgeting about $22,000 for everything else. That doesnt include photographer though since my mom is paying for that, but does include the rehearsal dinner and honeymoon.

We got our photographer/videographer for $5000, our party bus for $1600 (5 hours), DJ for $1900 and we should be able to do all of our flowers including centerpieces for $1500-$200 but our centerpieces won't include many flowers.
We are budgeting about $5000 for the honeymoon and about $300-$400 for invitations. I bought my dress, but since I paid for it out of pocket, I didn't include it in out budget.

Hall and entertainment biggest expense. I am estimating about $5 - 6K each for flowers. The hall was just over 50% of my total budget but I'm not doing favors, limos, and little things. I'm putting it all into the hall and band.
Everyone's budget is going to be different depending on economic status and what is important to them.

We are spending around $20,000 on everything, my hall is $10,000 and I was lucky, no compromise @ all, but i have had to shop around.

Our hall ended up costing us 50% of everything. i didnt have a set budget, i just tried to keep costs as low as possible. It ended up being alot more than i thought it would be or wanted it to be.

my hall is a little more then 50% of my budget but that is because we have shopped around for the best prices and cut cost in other areas.
You have to know what is most important to you and create your budget based on what youreally want and what you don't and what you can afford

All of our wedding expenses will run about $17,000.-$18,000. We are going to have about 200 guests. Our RH was discounted b/c we know someone that works there. We are paying about $11,000 for the RH. Chapel and Limos are about $1,200. Photographer is $2,500- was referred by a friend and he gave us a great price.
Florist: Don't have a price yet, but a family friend is paying for most of it, and the florist is a friend who is giving us a discount.
My Dress was under $1,000. I also won free tuxedo rentals by signing up on a wedding website after i got engaged.
Unity Candle set, Champagne Flutes and Cake Server Set, came to be about $300- but with a coupon I had i only paid about $230.
Favors for wedding are running about $300. CP's are running about 300-400(havent finished them yet and still need to purchase some items) We have 18-20 tables.
Bridal shower gifts have not been figured out yet, but i am looking to spend $100 on 14 people.
We got lucky with alot of the expenses, and i wasnt going to go broke on anything. I took what i could afford and it's working out for us.

Here is how stuff is running so far. I wanted to stick in the $18-20,000 range.
RH - for 75 guests, will cost about $8500 after all taxes, gratuities etc.
Ceremony - 'free' but we make a donation to the temple for the rabbi. Not sure of the amount, may be around $500, but it is also tax deductible.
Transportation - not doing limos or anything.
Photo/video/all albums and videos - $6500. If I go through my mom for the final payment I can apparently avoid taxes because she lives in a state where they can't charge her taxes.
Florist - still figuring out details and deciding between 2 places, but it will be about $2500.
DJ - right now at $1700, but we will probably add in a pianist for cocktail hour, so lets say $2000.
I am not counting my dress or HM in this budget. We are a bit over budget, but nothing horrible especially because some of the costs are for albums and videos that we get way down the road and could have just paid for at a later date. FMIL is also contributing $5000 as it turns out so that effectively takes care of the Florist and DJ!
