payment plan?? My shop was asking for a HUGE deposit and then the rest paid by the first fitting. I'm having sleeves and extra beading added to the dress that wont be done by the first fitting, so I'm not comfortable with paying the balance in full by then....how can I pay for something when I havent even seen the final product??

Mine was this way too. Then I paid for the alterations at my second fitting.

1/2 was due when I ordered the dress. The rest is due when the dress arrives.

When I ordered my dress I had to put down a 50% deposit of the total cost.
Then I didn't have to pay another dime until I picked it up, 2 days before my wedding. The remaining balance included what was left on the dress itself and the alterations.

I had to put down half before it could be ordered. And before my last alteration I have to pay the other half in cash or certified check.

my dress was discounted through Phyllis (Bridal Elegance), so I had to pay in full at the time i placed the order. Its on a CC, so I have buyer protection, just in case. I'm not worried though!
Same here, I bought it through Bridal Elegance and had to pay up front.

I put my dress in lawaway at David's Bridal on 09/02/06 and got it out 11/04/06. They where real helpful....
