what is your favorite style of house?

As FH & I are in the spirit of buying, we completely love the splanch & center hall colonial...They are hard to come by though!

Are you living in your ideal style home? If not, what would you rather have?

I'm in a co-op now. If I stay in Brooklyn my dream would be to own a brownstone. If I move to the suburbs, I'd love a Tudor.

Dream House:

Tudor or a Victorian.

We have a rance and we love it.

I love colonials! But we are in a Split ranch right now. I like it because there is a lot of room for expansion.

I LOVE Victorians and I believe they are called Georgian?

We live in a colonial right now.

(center hall means when your staircase is right in front of the door, right?)

If so that is what I have a Center Hall Colonial.

I never heard of Tudor, what do they look like? Does anyone have a picture?

What I love is the wrap around porch and also the circular parts of the house like a Victorian has.

i LOVE tudor style homes, but they do not exist in the areas that we are looking. so, my vote goes to a CH Col or Victorian (old world NOT post modern)

We bought a Tudor - we love the style...luckily they have them in my area...hopefully this spring we will paint...I want to change the wood from green to brown so it is more authentic looking.

we are living in our ideal style home - dutch colonial. we searched high and low for one, figured we were spending enough $ might as well make it worth it!
