As FH & I are in the spirit of buying, we completely love the splanch & center hall colonial...They are hard to come by though!
Are you living in your ideal style home? If not, what would you rather have?

can't believe how many of us want the same house...I never realized how popular the Tudor was...my FH lives in one & there just doesn't seem to be enough space

I've heard that about tudors...the peaks cut down on the size of the rooms. Still love them though!
I like colonials as well.

Not always true - our home (a tudor) had no peaks - all flat ceilings - it looks more like a colonial inside.

so the Tudors are known for that look with the slanted wood.
Honestly, I hate that look.

I love Victorians....Or as they call them, Painted Lady's

Not always true, indeed.
Your house (is beautiful, btw) definitely looks more like a colonial than a tudor. Traditional tudors typically have more peaks than yours does.

Re: what is your favorite style of house?
i love victorians, but not the fake ones and not the scary ones. northport has a lot of them and they are just so romantic. i love the ones from practical magic ...wow! i also love capes. there is something deceiving about them. and they are just so sweet. i love the spaciousness of colonials but not the ones with the palacial columns and what nots. but i also love cottages and bungalows. there is something so simply sweet about them. like life is not about materialism but about living and loving. maybe i am reading too much into a house, but these are the feelings i get. i also love tudor style...very old fashioned. what i don't like is when an entire neighborhood is just in one style of house. i like individuality.
