What Is Your FI Doing

He is involved with everything. I have never went to a see a vendor or see samples of things without him
he is the BEST!

I'm a control freak, so I'm actually doing most of the work, but whatever I ask him to take care of he does. Next I asked hime to take care of the limos and invites (with my approval, of course).

I forgot to add that one to my list too. He doesn't think it's so funny though..

He pretty much just goes on appointments and says Yes/No to my ideas. Most of the leg work is done by me - bah. At this point he is almost just a Yes man (or he says 'whatever is cheapest' )

ETA: I kind of wish he would be in charge of at least 1 thing - like limos. But we would probably end up with no limos then

to help with the planning. I think my FI is planning the HM and blocking the rooms at whatever hotel he chooses and maybe the limos. I think he's getting off pretty easy.

Talk about getting off easy ...he is doing NOTHING! he came with me when I booked the DJ and had to of course meet with the priest - thats it

ugh - they know if they are lazy and don't do it, we will do it There was an Everybody Loves Raymond on this - and Ray told Robert to do a crappy job on the invitations so that his fiance would take all responsibility away from him and do it all herself

He's been a part of ALL the wedding planning. He's gone on every appointment and has done the pros and cons with me. Granted I initially make the appointments and do the research (only because our home computer is on the fritz) but he's so supportive!!!

He comes to all the appointments I make.
I don't mind, he is supportive, and I want to be in control.

Same here. Although I do most of the research, he is involved in everything,

but he is an event planner so it is his job!

My FI sounds like yours EXCEPT he wants to do the limos. It has been two months and still no limos. I try not to nag, I just leave limo brochures around the remote control.

Well, he came on all the appointments to all the vendors, and we decided together on everything.
However, when it comes to him doing something specific that I asked him to do - like call the hotel for blocking rooms or the restaurant for the RD, I have to ask him a million times or it will never get done.

But he has been great, I really can't complain!

He'll show up on May 5th - that's pretty much the extent of his job...

PS - and I'm fine with it!
