What is your fondest Childhood Christmas/Hanukkah memory?

Mine is seeing the bubble lights on the tree, singing Christmas carols as we walked around the neighborhood in the biting cold, and then gathering for cookies and hot chocolate! Mary MOB

At my house, Santa's elves watched you from Thanksgiving until Christmas. When U were good, u would get a piece of candy under your pillow or some small gift. The elves would also play tricks on us, like re-arrange my dolls or move other things around my room. On Christmas-eve, when we came home from church, the elves always left us new pj's and a teddy bear of some sort. After Christmas, when we were taking down the tree, the elves had always left 1 last present under the tree skirt.

I miss the elves!

I missed her screaming at us lbecause she was hungry and wanted to eat., but we would always wait for our late guests (my aunt and uncle) to come, they aways ran late....so she would always start eating the bread and fish. I miss her and my late uncle cracking jokes at each other at the dinner table...xmas eve (what we celebrate) was hilarious.

Re: What is your fondest Childhood Christmas/Hanukkah memory?

our family tradition of who can wake up the earliest

i used to ALWAYS WIN. i feel bad for my parents we would get them up at like 5am to open gifts.. then as we got older it became a game, but whoever got up would stay awake and IF they heard someone getting up would run up and scream that they were up frist.. we would always fight about this

Getting the Barbie doll house that had 3 floors and made sounds. I loved barbies and I had the biggest present under the tree that year and I kept screaming as I was opening it. I also miss squishing into our tiny bathroom with my two brothers so we can all see what gift santa left for us. At my house, santa left one present under everyone's bed and it was the only gift we'd get to open without having to wait for our parents to wake up. So in the middle of the night, we'd all meet and open them together.
