What is your wedding theme?

Colors? Theme? Anyone know yet?

I am doing like a 'garden romance' theme. lots of candles, ceremony in a garden, very symbollic details here and there. Color may be periwinkle.

I wasn't going to do a theme either until I found the invites that I want. We are going to do a winter wonderland/snowflake theme. I found these really cute placecard holders (but they are expensive!!) shaped like snowflakes. My invites will also have snowflakes. I am thinking my colors will be deep red and silver or some shade of blue and silver.

We are probably going to do a snowflake theme too, because the only invite FH, mom, and I have agreed on so far has snowflakes on it! (If you want to check it out, it's in the Elite Weddings II catalog). Plus, I figure that if we go with that theme, it DECREASES our chance of snow...kind of a Murphy's Law sort of thing. I'm thinking navy blue dresses for the girls and silver accents on things.

No theme. But I will have a color scheme to go by. I really like the monocromatic look at weddings.

We don't really have a set theme. Everyone here has such great ideas! We're getting married outside and both like to play softball so maybe I'll come up with something having to do with that. I'm not really stressing over it, in the meantime we're going with a Lilac color.

I think all of these themes are great. I always love it when weddings have a theme because it reflects the personalities and creative talents of the bride and groom.

I am going to use those big beautiful sunflowers and daisies in all different vibrant colors. I guess color is my theme!

I'm having a beach theme. Everything is sea shell and starfish. The colors are light blue and light green. I'm naming the table after beaches.

I'm doing summer brights...raspberry, orchid purple, spring green, some ivory thrown in, and maybe some light pink for contrast. No official theme, but I do want a garden sort of feel, with lots of colors and small but cute details.

I was thinking of a theme the other day. I am getting married in August so I want it to feel summery, but then again my FI is British so was thinking using Europe as my theme and naming the tables after a different European city and encorporating that somehow but I have no idea how to do that. I have been to 10 different countries in Europe and still have no clue - I am open to suggestion???

Although we Americans think of Britain as being European, it is so different from the rest of European culture...don't you think? I wouldn't force a theme like that if you're not really feeling it!

We are definitely embracing Carlyle's golf roots since our ballroom looks out onto the Black Course. So tables named after courses, golf balls and tees personalized... my other thing is that I love the magazing 'Southern Living' and every year I wait for their wedding edition to come out. And for years I have always dreamed of having a Southern Living Wedding, but in NY. I think so far, I'm making it happen!

I WAS THINKING ABOUT A SPRING THEM BECAUSE OUR DATE IT THE WEEK BEFORE EASTER. I WAS THINKING ALOT OF LIGHT PASTEL COLORS, HAVING THE CP'S IN EASTER BASKETS. NO SURE THOUGH IM KINDA FALLING AWAY FROM IT. ALSO ANOTHER PROBLEM THAT IM HAVING IS WE MIGHT BE CHANGING THE DATE OF OUR WEDDING TO OCTOBER.
