What is your wedding theme?

I don't really have a theme...We are getting married at the Swan Club..we registered for toasting flutes with Swans on them and I think I am going to get silver Swan place card holders.

Maybe our theme is Swans??

I dont really have a theme either...

but I know I want a very romantic setting lots of candle light... and lots of rose petals...

I am totally doing a theme, and after talking with some great vendors, I am all about it.

My theme is going to be 1940's Broadway.

It's shaping up really well. I'm finding that some vendors are really embracing it and some are like, 'huh'? But it's great when they get excited.

The FT used to be an old movie theatre so I am going to do the following:

1. Long and glamourous gowns for the girls and me - no poof.

2. Things in jewel tones, which were big then, amethyst, dark green, gold.

3. Flowers that were big: callas, tulips, hydrangea maybe.

4. Menu cards that look like old playbills on one side (the other side will have the menu).

5. Tables will each be named after a movie, broadway show, performer or song from the era.

6. Thanks to Bravura's suggestion (kissy, listen to this!), I may have the lights dimmed as people walk into the reception and a single sax in the center of the dance floor playing some reallly awesome jazz - with a single spotlight on him.

7. Table cards will be the 'seats' and they will say 'Please Take Your Seat'

8. STD's will be like a movie poster.

That's all I can think of now. It will be slight, and still not over the top...but I am excited about it!

I think all of these themes are great. I always love it when weddings have a theme because it reflects the personalities and creative talents of the bride and groom.

We are going with a nautical theme (no surprise there) and are incorporating a compass motif in our invites, ceremony programs and menus. Our flowers will be blue with accents of celery green and lilac.

beach theme b/c the riviera is on the bay and we will be getting married in july and we love the beach--- blue dresses, tropical centerpieces, candle holders with sand and shells, sand dollar place card holders, favors? i don't know yet.Re: What is your wedding theme?
