Our friends are getting married 12/07 and they wanted to poll 1000 brides to find out what was most important so they could have an idea where to put the most of their money. I told them for me it was photography, but that everyone is different. So for my friends, please answer this poll! TIA!!!

In terms of money spent definitely the photographer. Finally booked her yesterday!
Food and liquor are a close second though

The most important part to me and FH is the ceremony, but that is not costing us a lot.
The thing we would have spent the most amount of money on is the DJ. I feel they make your wedding wonderful if they play the music that will make everyone dance and have a good time. Fortunately I found the perfect DJ and he is actually one of my cheapest vendors. I was so happy!
Out of everything I had to do, the invitations was the one thing I was not willing to spend a lot of money on. I feel people get the invitations, write the date on their calendar, and then throw the invitation away. So to me and FH that was like throwing our money away. I know many people love the invitations and that is very important to them, but I am just saying what was least important to us. So this is JMO.

Just to throw out a different opinion...I think the things that make the day memorable (besides of course the idea that you're actually getting married) like RH and DJ are most important...I kind of think of it as we'd rather have pretty good pics of a fabulous day than fabulous pics of a pretty good day

if you are talking about the most important part of the day - the ceremony- when you marry your best friend!
