What kinds of questions

Should we be asking DJs/MCs when we go to check them out?

-who exactly with the DJ be? Is the guy you are interviewing coming to your wedding or do they have someone else do the affair (you need to meet with the person who will do your wedding before signing anything)
-price and exactly what do you get for that price
-will they honor- do not play lists and requests?
-how many breaks do they take, and how long is each break?
-references that you can contact- and then call the brides.
-if you want give aways or a light show (not my favoriate but lots of girls love them) is that included in the quoted price or additional
-what time will he/she arrive to set-up, when does break down begin
-what is the charge for overtime if the party runs over (could happen so better to ask)
-what if he/she is sick or has an emergency, who is the back-up (This can happen)
-Does he/she have back-up equipment with them at every job (again stuff breaks)
-what type of music is in his current collection. Is it updated and include the music you want played
-how many years have they been in business
-what are the contract specifics- like cancellation charges, time/date change cost etc.. (better to know)
