We picked ours pretty much at random b/c we wanted cool, fally, October weather.

We wanted to do it off-season so we could afford to do it on a Sat. night. We got engaged on 3/1 and the longer we looked the less time it seemed we would have to get it all done by Jan, then Feb so we went into March and the 15th was open at the place we loved so we took it.

I always wanted a Fall wedding, preferably in October. However, there were no dates available for then so we bumped it to November 8th. November 1st didnt do it for me b/c it was the day after Halloween plus it was All Saints Day. So thats why we chose 11/8/08!!!!!

i originally wanted a fall wedding but the prices were out of our budget.
i guess the answer is the price was right !
i didn't want to get married in the middle of winter or summer... so April it is!!

At first we wanted June 14, which is our 5 year anniversary. But, I am a teacher and school doesn't end until around the 28th. So we looked into July. We didn't want July 4th weekend because my family goes away then. Then it was between the 11th and the 18th. FH's friend is getting married the 18th, so we took the 11th. Plus FH liked that it was 711!

For the past 17 years I have wanted to get married the day after Thanksgiving. I have no idea why. Something about having the day off and it being a family holiday weekend and I've always loved Thanksgiving.
I didn't get my wish though. Mom and FH both said no way as did FMIL. I knew I didn't want a summer wedding (I don't do well in the heat), though I did shoot for Sept and my RH was booked solid for the entire month of Sept and Oct. We're getting married 4 days after my birthday, that's kinda cool.

My birthday and FHs birthdays are 5 days apart (we were born the same year so he is 5 days older)
We are getting married inbetween both our birthdays
FHs bday - 8/6 wedding - 8/9 my bday - 8/11

my FH is a Marine vet so we liked Memorial Day weekend day from the start plus it gives our guests a little vacation too.

We both love the fall weather and Oct was the month we just agreed on. The date was one of the few Saturdays to choose from and I picked. No real reason behind it...........but now there will be!

Our two top dates were October 11 and September 6. We preferred October 11 because Columbus Day weekend would give some out of town guests extra travel time. However, emotionally, I would have preferred September 6, as it will be my grandparent's 61st anniversary...
We ended up with October 11th.

FH's job does not really have flexibilty for him to take any time off, except for the month of August when pretty much the whole organization shuts down, so we were limited to then.

We knew that we wanted to go to Greece for our honeymoon, so we looked up what the best time of year to go is and it said September, so September it was! We chose early September because we still wanted it to be a summer wedding.

Well we really wanted the whole 6-7-8 thing but then we realized it was a sat. and it was going to jack up the price and well.. we're on a budget.. not only that but my FAV # in the whole world is 13.. and i just LOVE the fact that its FRIDAY the 13th! so there you have it 6/13/2008
