i wanted spring b/c it's my favorite season. but i definitely wanted it to be warm out...so we decided on late may. and when i realized we could do a sunday night wedding, but most people would have off the next day we decided it was a good idea since we're poor and need to save money everywhere we can.

lol...so the night before memorial day it is!

FH and I had our high school prom on May 25th
which is five days before our anniversary date (BTW we weren't even each others prom date!)
Anywho, its only five days after what will be our 8 year anniversary and I was financially convinced into having a Sunday wedding-the bonus: Memorial Day is the following day!

We even considered having our wedding at Jericho Terrace where our HS prom was but fell in love with Chateau Briand.

My birthday and FHs birthdays are 5 days apart (we were born the same year so he is 5 days older)

We are getting married inbetween both our birthdays

FHs bday - 8/6
wedding - 8/9
my bday - 8/11

my daughters bday is the same day as yours! and mine is 8/16

there is no significance to our date really. i always wanted a valentines day-ish wedding and FH was fine with whatever i said. lol, thats why i love him. well one of the reasons

We picked ours pretty much at random b/c we wanted cool, fally, October weather.

i am a date twin! we picked our date because of the weather too!

I wanted a 2008 wedding even though FH proposed in August I knew that under a year would be crazy to plan.

I wanted a summer wedding but FH didnt so i was set on Sept.

this weekend is the only one without a relative's bday in it...including me...I'll be turning 25 on our HM!


I love our date! I wouldnt trade it for any other

We let price and availability at the Rh determine our date.

I wanted something in Fall, but Oct was too expensive for our budget (when I say 'our' I really mean my dad), so we turned to Nov. We also wanted a Sat. night, but Sat. in Nov was also too expensive (we're having 150-250 guests). In consultation with my parents, we finally agreed that we wanted Leonards on a Sunday eve in November, and the first one they had available was Nov 16.

Our wedding date is the day we met. we say its our anniversary cause we've been together ever since..... so when we get married it'll be our fifth year anniversary!

I always imagined that I would get married in the fall, but because I travel for work in the fall, it would be too stressful.

I was extremely close with my
great-grandmother, (she passed 2 years ago), and her name was Mary, nickname Mae--so I wanted to get married in May. We have a lot of OOT guests, so the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend was perfect for us!
