your wedding date? Is it significant in some way?

TRYING TO SPARK SOME CONVERSATION HERE!!

We picked ours pretty much at random b/c we wanted cool, fally, October weather.

Well, we're both only children, and both of our parents got married on 4/19. Thought it would be a nice touch.

So we first looked into that date because it fell on a Saturday and was during spring recess (I'm a teacher). The date was booked, but we really wanted the RH, so we moved the date up a week, and will leave for our HM on the 19th instead.

We wanted a Summer 2008 date and it ended up coming down to the date we chose at HWC, or a different date at a different hall.....it all seemed right b/c we liked HWC better, and we also liked the whole 6-7-8 thing! FH probably wanted it for an easy to remember anniversary But it sure goes well.....SAVE THE DATE, 6-7-8! haha....

i wanted December - but FH didn't think it was fair to do it....so we picked a date in January that was the day before a holiday most people have off for. Our date is the day before Martin Luther King Jr. day...so anyone traveling to our wedding can not miss work...

We were open to a few Saturdays in the spring. When we went to The Metropolitan and they had our date May 17 open- FH & I just looked at each other and agreed that was the date. It just sounded right!!

I always wanted a June wedding, they had alot of available dates, and we liked the rhythm of the date 6,7,8

Theres no real reason why we picked this date. We knew we wanted a fall wedding, and the only dates that the NRC had available was Oct 31 or Nov 7..and since I hateee halloween we opted for Nov 7. Not to mention there was almost a $20pp difference from one date to another (a whole 7 days!)

We were going for the weekend of our anniversary (october 11) and that didnt work out, because we got a big discount for waiting till november!
So we were going with 11-01-08,, but I didt want to have the wedding the day after halloween.. so we went one week later 11-08-08

I knew I wanted to get married in Oct. My Grandmother's birthday was Oct. 18. That was the day we originally wanted, but our hall was booked. So we took Oct. 25 instead.

it was pretty much random ... i wanted May but i knew the price was going to be a lot more cheaper in April so i was lookg for then end of April my nephewe birthday was the last sunday in april so i picked the sunday before ... though all my friends think its for another reason

At first I wanted October b/c I LOVE the colors but then FH mentioned having it on a holiday weekend and I was like yeahhh that sounds fun! So we picked Memorial Day weekend b/c figured 4th of July would be too hot. Im not a big fan of the cold weather so it had to at least be warm out and so we picked May. It turns out that our date is my MOH's parents anniversay and they have been married 35 years and they have such a great marriage!! Hope its as great a date for us

it was perfect we wanted it on the second month of aug..
then we went to leonards and found out they only had one saturday left on aug.. which happened to be the date we wwanted =]

Nothing significant about our date. We just knew we wanted an off-peak wedding and 2/2 sounded like an easy date to remember! But now that I think of it, its perfect because our dating anniversary is a week after that so it can all blend together.

I was initially leaning towards having a fall wedding but FH did not want to wait that long then I thought I would be the only one in my family that is actually having a spring/summer wedding so I said lets go for it and 6/6/08 happened to be the date they had available which was closer to our preference. Turns out it is 3 days after the wedding anniversary of my grandmother (she would have been very proud because when I was younger I always would tell her I wanted to get married on her anniversary) now not even realizing while making the plans it landed close to that date.
