Re: What made you pick...

i wanted either september or october, october foer the garden terrace at fox hollow was sold out and only options in sept. were labor day or sept 10th. we chose the 10th because we knew people would be coming home from vacations on labor day and traffic and didnt want to risk it ruining our day. the price for labor day was awesome though, but sept 10th it is

My favorite season is spring so I def wanted April-June. I was a FG for a June wedding when I was 8, so it just seemed like the 'right' month for a wedding. I always pictured my wedding taking place in June. Besides I love how the 6 goes with 06. I really wanted a Saturday night, which left 3 weekends. Then I counted out when my Aunt Flo will visit and decided that the 10th was the best date!!

6/10/06 Here we come!!!

Re: What made you pick...

Our birthdays are a day apart in October so I decided that I wanted our anniversary to be 6 months from our birthdays. We already celebrate our birthdays together and now we will have our anniversary 6 months later in April.

April 29th is the last Saturday in April so that is what we picked.

I am also happy to hear that the #9 is lucky

Three is my favorite number and it was the day before the fourth of July. Our guests can party their behinds off and not have to worry about going to work the next day.

I liked September and it just worked well with the holidays.

No particular reason... we liked it because its a nice time of year and its a 3-day weekend, so no one has to worry about work the next day.

Re: What made you pick...

Well I wanted to be married after my birthday, so I could be the age I'm suppose to be that yr. I really like autumn and the foliage. I wanted to be married October 13th 2006 on a friday. My grandmother had died on that date, but her death was more of a relief of her pain. I don't view it as a bad day and I felt having that date as my wedding day would have been a good way to remember her by. But my FH got all supersitus on me about friday the 13th! So I moved it up a week. But it worked out for the best, its colubus day weekend so my guest and I get a four day weekend instead of three.

I picked June 25th, because I wanted June or July. I fell in love with Giorgio's and the only date they had availalble was 6/25 (had to do an afteroon Sunday, couldn't afford Sat nite).

Plus, it is the day after my sister's (MOH) 40th birthday! It will be a big family get together weekend and we're all looking forward to it so much !!

Re: What made you pick...

Two reasons,
#1 winter pricing, it is all about the $$
#2 last day in March (potential for nice weather)

I picked October because I love the colors. Then I thought it was a holiday weekend and figured this is great, everyone will have off on Monday. I later came to find out the holiday weekend is the weekend before! Oh well.....Monday workers will just have to suffer. I'm not changing it now!

FI didn't want it to be hot , I wanted a spring wedding so we decided for May. We chose May 20 since its my father's birthday.

Re: What made you pick...

We couldn't pick a date for the life of us. We were planning for sometime between September-November because we love the fall. His mother suggested the weekend before Halloween because everyone who knows us knows that we are obsessed with all things Gothic and Halloween related.

We were going back and forth between the 22 and the 29 (we wanted a Sunday wedding) so we decided on the 20 because it's closer to Halloween and it's daylight savings - an extra hour for him to sleep and me to freak out before the wedding!

I picked mine for 2 reasons. #1 is price- winter is cheaper! The second is that it is a holiday weekend and most people have off on Mon.

ME TOO!!

Well its not a holiday weekend..I did try for that though (booked already) But it's presidents week, so a lot of people will have off.

My date was going to be May 21 but someone else had that date on hold. I couldn't do the weekend after because I know my grandmother had a wedding to go to. So I decided to make it 2 weeks later.

It was significantly cheaper than a week later or through the summer. We knew we couldn't afford a Saturday wedding, but wanted a night event (but not Sunday night) - so the date kind of fell into our laps.

ETA - cinco de mayo baby! If it weren't on that date - I don't think my FI would remember the date!
