your wedding date (or the month if you just were going for that)? I picked mine beccause it is our 6 year anniversary of our first date AND 12th year (they happen to fall on the same day) of knowing eachother!

we got engaged on Valentine's day and we agreed immediately that we wanted to be married in the Fall. Thankfully it worked out that we had 9 months to plan

Re: What made you pick...
We wanted spring or fall, we ended up picking spring because we wanted in the beginning of summer rather than end of summer and we scheduled around my period ( ) and memorial day. Because of the two weddings, we wanted memorial day to fall during our time off....

I didn't. FH picked it.
We wanted summer because it is going to be an outside, tented wedding. We have 2 other weddings next summer, so August was a good month in regards to that.
9 (19) is a prominent number in Asian culture. Brings luck and achievement.
Ooh my B-Day is 9/19...must be very lucky

Re: What made you pick...
We were originally planning for 9/29 but since our hall was booked at that time and the BM suggested 9/1, which I fell in love with and it is the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Re: What made you pick...
It was the only day they had available that could fit in with my work schedule!!!
I wish I could have gotten married in October - but I can't complain, I am getting married to my best friend!

Re: What made you pick...
We mostly based it on FH's school calendar. We didn't want to wait until summer or later-so it was between 2/11 and 4/8. I liked 2/11 because it is the day before my parent's 40th wedding anniversary. We ended up with 2/11 because the reception hall only had that date open.

Re: What made you pick...
We wanted it to be a bit warm out, and i wanted at least a year engagement. So that left us with September. We also had to have a Saturday, and his birthday falls on the 23rd next year/a Saturday, and he didn't want that. So we picked the 30th.

February = less $$
AND . . . it's the only season I don't have allergies, it's really good hair weather and ALL of my friends have gotten married in the fall or summer - I wanted to be a little different.

Re: What made you pick...
im a teacher so summer months were best. my birthday long with many family members' brithdays are all in august. i wanted a time that separate from other things, so there went july. i really wanted the 17th bc i wanted to keep something from when we started dating, and when that didnt fall on a weekend we did the closest to it.

we wanted the summer and we only wanted to wait about a year..plus my brother is getting married in January so we had to give some time between the weddings.

I wanted summer in case FI and I actually found jobs for what we went to school for (me School/guidance counselor, him elem ed) and I figured a monday night, the prices were awesome and everyone has off the next dy for the fourth of july! Unfortunately, I didn't take into consideration that leaving fr the HM in the middle of the week can be difficult!

Re: What made you pick...
I wanted a date that easy to remember (mostly for him in the future years) and I wanted something in the fall.
We originally wanted September and then saw the price difference from Sept to October and then the difference in November and went for November.
We're saving money - got an easy date, and have more time to plan and save!!!

Re: What made you pick...
We picked July b/c I am a teacher and wanted to go on my honeymoon right after the wedding, rather than waiting for a school vacation. Originally I wanted to get married in the very beginning of July, but we chose the 21st so I will have more 'running around' time right before the wedding w/o worrying about work.
