What made you pick the place you are going to on your honeymoon?

What made you pick the place you are going to on your honeymoon?

What were the deciding factors?

1. Price. Beautiful place for HALF of Hawaii. We are going to Aruba.
2. Location. September is prime hurricane season and Aruba is out of hurricane belt.

We're going to Sandals Golf Resort and Spa St. Lucia and here were factors:

Sandals is couples only (no meat market)
no kids (self explanatory)
all inclusive (we didnt want to have to worry about one single thing relating to money or tips)
3 resorts on the island - stay at one, play 3, tripling our options for dinner
Golf for him, spa for me

St. Lucia because
it's gorgeous - sick beautiful
it's not the Bahamas - Bahamas is only 2 hours away and we figured we'd get there at some point in our lives
We heard Jamaica was dangerous
and Hawaii was too far

Hurricane season! I needed to find a beautiful island that does NOT get hit with HURRICANES!

So we settled on Aruba! CANNOT WAIT!

We had always wanted to go to Hawaii, and we figured that we wouldn't be able to take a two week vacation any other time then our honeymoon, since our jobs probably wouldn't allow it.

We are going to Moorea and Bora Bora and since we've been together that has been our ultimate destination that we wanted to go too. Its suppose to be absolutely gorgeous there and where else can you go to sleep in a hut over pristine crystal water and feed fish from your night stand or take a late night dive into the gorgeous water.

Also, we probably will never have another opportunity to take a 2 week honeymoon to travel this far.

We wanted some place out of the hurricane zone- being in October.
$$ was an issue (when is it not?)
We're going to Aruba & staying at the Marriott w/ their new all-inclusive plan. We plan on going out to dinners some nights, but we couldn't beat that!

FI has never been on a cruise I've been on 10, FI has never been lower in the Caribbean than St. Thomas, I've been to almost every island. We figured this would be a great way to 'kill two birds'

Another Hurricane season bride here too - had to stay away from the Carribean. So, off to Hawaii- we chose the location based on the fact that neither one of us has ever been there before, we had 2 weeks to take off from work since it's so far.

We wanted to go somewhere different- somewhere that was nice, relaxing and tropical- yet somewhere that not everyone has heard of- we went to Zihuatanejo, Mexico.

I told my FI that I wanted to go where there is a beach and little sightseeing. He made all of the arrangements and I'll found out on July 7th when we fly there!

Hurricane season for us as well.

A friend happened to say 'Why don't you go to the French Riviera?' and I had been bugging my FH to go to Monte Carlo for quite some time, so that's where we're headed. FH loved Switzerland, so we decided to go there as well, since we'll be 'in the area'.

We figured we won't have a 2 week vacation together for a LONG time so might as well go somewhere far (Hawaii) and somewhere that has alot of activities for us to do since neither one of us can sit on the beach for days at a time!

It has always been my dream to go to Hawaii for my honeymoon. We tried to do it as economical as possible but that idea went out the window!

We are staying at an All inclusive resort in Nicaragua, in Central America..Thats where he was born and he tells me how beautiful Nicaragua is so I wanted to see it!

FH and I are doing a little different honeymoon. We are taking a road trip for 3 weeks. We are going out to Nevada, California, Mexico, Arizona, and Possibly Colorado, plus all the places along the way. We are staying in HM suites everywhere we go and I am hoping to get on the Price is Right while in California to win us some new stuff for our house. Hee Hee!!! Neither of us wanted to fly(scared). And we LOVE road trips. We've never really been out west, so I am sure we will have a blast. As long as we're together I know we'll have a good time!! (wow, that sounded corny)

Where going to Sandals Bahamas Resort!! We both heard its beautiful, and the price is great!
