What NWR item are you coveting?

I want a House - maybe we will look next year.

I am trying to get him to buy another new digital camera since the new one broke and we bought a new puppy he is 4 months so that is the reason I tell him I want another camera.LOL!!

On June 10th 2004 I purchased my speedy 25 for $495 plus $19 shipping. Damn the prices has certainly gone up quite a bit!!!

I have a speedy. It loses its shape as soon as you put anything in it. Don't do it! I'm disappointed with it every day.

Right???? I notice anyone who has one how dilapidated and blah looking after a few months! I wanted one for a little and am SO happy I didn't give in and buy one. It's amazing how that bag transforms.......The Trouville is the nicest one....in my opinion at least.

Wow! I can't believe prices went up so much!!! When I bought my speedy 30 it was $560.

I would definitely look into getting a purseket (http://www.purseket.com/) to help your bag keep its shape. Elux doesn't allow returns or exchanges after 30 days I believe but if you decide you'd rather have a different bag you could resell your speedy for a lot.

One of the great things about LV is it never goes on sale and the price always increases (yes this ***** but it can also be great) so there is great resale value. If you bought your bag 4 years ago and it's still in great condition you could probably resell it now for close to what you paid for it back then (maybe even more). Then you can use the $$ to get something you'd rather have.

Edit: the epi speedies (the colored leather ones with the ridges) hold their shape a lot more than the canvas ones.

Yes, and another issue that I had was that the bag comes in a nice dust bag and LV box, but its folded oddly in the box, so for awhile you could see the indentations of where it was folded in the box!!

I can't imagine someone would pay $500 for my used bag! Even though it is barely used. I'll keep it b/c its highly unlikely that I'll ever make that kind of insane purchase again.

You'd be surprised -- I bet people would easily pay $500 for it if it's in good condition. I bought one of the cerises coin holders when they first came out for ~ $150 and then resold it once they were discontinued for double that. (it was in mint condition but still ) I thought it was so cute that I bought a second one which I also plan to resell one day.

the trouville is the one i have, and yeah it is so sturdy and real heavy too, even the bag alone its weird, then to add i carry tons of things but yeah the shape stays great

i think on e-luxury they sell it for less, even when i bought my old louis vuitton which was before 2004 the prices werent that low

i think boots are such a great investment though - i wear them all winter long. I really want to invest in another great pair of boots - i have via spigas that i love, and they were like $300+ so sometimes i think it's worth it. Obviously $1200 is steep but if they are sensible boots that you can reheel (i reheel mine all the time - walking on city sidewalks destroy my shoes) then it might be worth it. my D&Gs are really just camel colored kitten heels... very professional and great at the office, but i can't really wear them elsewhere.


i got them at saks after my christmas bonus - ON SALE they were $300 and i don't usually spend that much on shoes (bags, yes) b/c they wear so quickly but i just had to treat myself and i love that they are gold on the bottom.

wow i used to have a pair of stuart weitzman boots that i loooooooved and wore to death. i totally forgot about them until now. those and martinez valero - those were great boots too. i really need to get another pair. i cheaped out last time, got franco sartos for like $70 and they are okay but i feel like the heel is going to crack.

L&T is having a boot sale but they don't usually have ones i like - i usually end up at bloomies or nordstroms (or saks during a sale only lol). i love shoes and bags. they make up for my boring clothes

hahahaha youre like me, i dont go nuts buying LOTS of clothes, i say you need a few key elements and thats it lol, bag, sunglasses and shoes, if you have those 3 then you can wear a white tee with jeans and pulli t off lol
