what one registry item would you tell the rest of us to add?

what one registry item would you tell the rest of us to add? Where can you find it? How much is it? Why do you recommend it?

You should add: Krups Toaster Oven
You can find it: BBB
It costs: $199 (but you can take 20% off)
I recommend it because: It's big, works really well, and you can BAKE things in it without needing to wait for it to preheat! I use this instead of my oven for anything small enough to fit in it -- it's the best thing ever. It also comes with these great tongs that are perfect for pulling out the rack because they have a small hook at the end.

Edit: I still need to add to our registry... so I'm going to take advantage of this thread

I would highly recomend one good copper pot, preferably 2 qt size. Copper lasts forever and warms evenly through the pot. It's perfect for melting chocolate, warming milk and heavy creams and making perfect sauces that never scald!

ideas of copper pots

Kimberlee, I didn't know that about copper pots!! Mary MOB

If you are getting a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer, I'd recommend the Cook For the Cure one - $50 gets donated to the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation.
You can get them at Macy's and Kohl's and probably elsewhere.
I cannot WAIT to get one - I've wanted one FOREVER and ever!!!! That is my recommendation!

I'm thinking of changing my George Foreman to the Cuisinart Griddle!! You all make it sound fab!

The mixer IS the best...I love it so much. I didn't do the Susan G. Komen one though because as much as I LOVE pink, it just doesn't go in my newly-renovated Tuscan kitchen lol

Someone just bought us the Cuisinart Griddler from our registry and I'm so excited about it! It's the George Foreman, sandwich maker, grill, panini maker and so much more in one!!!

The Griddler is amazing! It has interchangeable plates so you can have a flat or ridged surface, it can be tilted so things drip off or flat to make pancakes etc, and you can take the plates out and wash them in the sink or dishwasher (although ours doesnt clean fully in the dishwasher). plus, you can heat it to a particular temperature and it will light up when it's ready. Way better IMO, and I used to have a foreman grill.

Yay! Great to hear. I have the Foreman here at my parents and knew I didn't want one...I don't like it at all. The Griddler is a real grill lol!

Like this thread!

I wanted to get a Dyson, but aren't they insanely heavy? I looked at them but found them heavy to be lugging them up and down stairs... and I'm not wimpy or anything either..

It's funny you say that because I had one on my registry and then went and picked it up and moved it around and hated it!! I figure that FH and I have hardwood floors and tiles throughout our house (tiles in kitchen and bathrooms of course lol) and have no pets yet....we are fine with a regular vac and then one day when pets and kids come along, I'll go pro and have FH lug it up and down lol

Keurig one cup coffee maker

You can find it at: BB&B, Linens and things, etc.

Cost: This one is $200, but they range from $150-$300, depending on what kind you are looking for.

Tassimo is another brand of 1-cup coffee makers, but Keurig is better.

I reccommend it for anyone who wants to make 1 quick cup of coffee whether running out the door or when you need a pick me up after work... so you don't have to make a whole big pot just for yourself.

I was just going to put this up, lol. I am obsessed with my Keurig brewer, it's seriously the best item I've ever purchased!!!!!!! So worth it!!!!

I can't wait for mine! Someone bought it and I'm more excited over this than any other gift LOL
