what one registry item would you tell the rest of us to add?

what one registry item would you tell the rest of us to add? Where can you find it? How much is it? Why do you recommend it?
You should add: Krups Toaster Oven You can find it: BBB It costs: $199 (but you can take 20% off) I recommend it because: It's big, works really well, and you can BAKE things in it without needing to wait for it to preheat! I use this instead of my oven for anything small enough to fit in it -- it's the best thing ever. It also comes with these great tongs that are perfect for pulling out the rack because they have a small hook at the end.
Edit: I still need to add to our registry... so I'm going to take advantage of this thread

If you are getting a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer, I'd recommend the Cook For the Cure one - $50 gets donated to the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation. You can get them at Macy's and Kohl's and probably elsewhere. I cannot WAIT to get one - I've wanted one FOREVER and ever!!!! That is my recommendation!
I'm thinking of changing my George Foreman to the Cuisinart Griddle!! You all make it sound fab!
The Griddler is amazing! It has interchangeable plates so you can have a flat or ridged surface, it can be tilted so things drip off or flat to make pancakes etc, and you can take the plates out and wash them in the sink or dishwasher (although ours doesnt clean fully in the dishwasher). plus, you can heat it to a particular temperature and it will light up when it's ready. Way better IMO, and I used to have a foreman grill.

I've had the Hot Tools ceramic one (I think I paid about $40 or $50 for it maybe 4 years ago?) and it does the job on my hair which is pretty straight. Usually I just smooth out a few kinks from letting it airdry... It's way better on my hair than the old metal ones. Never tried the CHI

The chi is good. I cried the day my Blue Saphire broke so switching to ceramic was huge for me. The hot tools ones work well too -- i am just a sucker and bought the more expensive one.

My friends with very curly hair swear by the CHI and say its the best one for their hair. For now I can get away with a decent one -- but it's way better than their regular $17.99 metal one

You should add: Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer You can find it at: Macy's It's costs: $399.99 (but is on sale for $299.99) I recommend it because: it is the hottest mixer in all the land!!!!!
Here's a tip: BBB also carries this and their everyday price is $299.99, plus you can use a 20% off coupon to bring the price to $239.99
I didn't like how I was treated at BBB. I switched my entire registry to Macy's. I think the one for $299.99 everyday is a different mixer.
I can't speak for the quality of service at BBB since everyone's experience is different, but it's the EXACT same item at both places except cheaper at BBB. Check out the Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer at BBB and compare the Model # KSM150PS is the same at both places.
Also, the tip was meant for others who have not yet registered or want to add the item at BBB.
Sorry. I didn't mean to sound nasty. I just thought it was the smaller mixer. I've always seen the $399 price.

i cook all the time andhave used ALOT of pots. all-clad is the best in my opinion. its the closest to professional quality.
So All-Clad is better than Calphalon? Also, if we have good pots/pans (the cuisinart set) is it worth registering for GREAT ones? I'm torn. I also don't know which to register for if we do.
Also, anyone register for the La Cruest (sp?) stuff? is that worth it?
We need to add some more stuff to our registry because we got A LOT of registry gifts for our e-party, I haven't had a shower yet and our OOT guests might want to give actual gifts instead of $$$. I don't want to add stuff we won't use, but especially since BBB items are returnable we want to keep an open mind and add things we wouldn't normally buy ourselves but might want down the road.
We registered for 2 pieces of Le Creuset. someone actually bought both pieces already!
I know color alone shouldn't make me add them to our registry, but what makes them special/different from other things? what do you use them for? I'm tempted to add 1-2 pieces..
opps....See above post...
I love Le Creuset! I didn't register for any because I already have cooper pots that are very good. Plus, I have so many high ticket items on my registry already. Someday, I plan on owning a set. Someday.

Like this thread!
I wanted to get a Dyson, but aren't they insanely heavy? I looked at them but found them heavy to be lugging them up and down stairs... and I'm not wimpy or anything either..

The dyson has a SLIM version now...much lighter...but I didn't register for it because I prefer a canister type vacuum...but the dyson is supposed to be VERY good...

I love this thread!!!
The only thing I can mention is to get a cast iron frying pan if you can. I got one years ago at a salvation army and will never part with it. It's small, but i use it for grilled cheese, small omelettes, heating up sauce if it's just me for dinner .... love it, love it, love it. super easy to clean (no dishwasher though, it rusts?) and get soooo hot but evenly distributes heat. are the le cruset things cast iron??
Mmmm.. I want a grilled cheese now.

lecrusets enameled cast iron. Its pretty close to being as good as a traditional cast iron pan, but its still not the same. But MUCH easier to care for. Regular cast iron isn't supposed to really be washed with soap. I think you are supposed to wipe it down with oil. It keeps the flavors which is partly what makes the food cooked in it so good! I am not getting one though cus Im afraid Im going to do something to mess it up! LOL.

I wish I could take a pic of it-but a portable table that has storage space for 4 folding chairs in the middle. I saw it at Levitz. I got mine 15 years ago. It is a must have. It takes little room and opens to a table that can fit 4-6 people. It is wooden and not ugly to look at by any means.
