What RH did you love but were out of your budget?

I'm just curious to know if anyone went through this. I looked at so many places and the ones I fell in love with were out of my budget. I would love to get feedback to see what everyone says.

honestly, it was even a venue, but a place.

If we had the money to fly out all our family and close friends and put them up in hotels for the trip, FH and I would be getting married in Jamaica. We just couldn't see having a wedding without those who are close to us and we know that if we did a destination wedding, not even would be able to come.

I didn't even visit Oheka, but I always wanted my wedding there.

Royalton was my favorite, but it was getting too tight for my guest list and i would have had to make so many sacrifices for that steep of a price. I got a lot more for my money at my RH.

This is really the only place I would consider aside from my RH. I am in love with it, haha.

Would have loved Surf Club....I dont know that it was out of my price range, but I definately could never meet their min....our families are very small.

I loved Atlantica, but the package I wanted was like way over budget... Oh well. And now I could care less because they're closed!!!

Good thing for you that the Rainbow Room is closed now....so you couldn't have it there anyways

i went to a wedding in the Rainbow Room in 2006. it was amazing. the food was delicious. they had lamb chops during the CH

I love Pleasantdale Chateau in New Jersey. My FH's cousin got married there and I would love to have it there- it was like a fairytale!!

I would have said Oheka but I went to meet with a BM last weekend and I was kind of disappointed with the ballroom. The grounds outside of the castle are absolutely gorgeous but in order to get the look I want I would have to spend thousands of dollars extra to drape ceilings and walls and to get the right linens that Oheka quickly fell from what I always thought it would be. So I am going to stick with my cheaper sandcastle and do all of the things I want with the money I am not spending on Oheka

ITA - I went to a wedding at Oheka and it is honestly exactly any other place....the grounds are beautiful and it's fun to say you have the whole castle to yourself, but at the end of the day it is a reception hall

Its not even that. I was just extremely undewhelmed by the grand ballroom. To have the place look the way I wanted it to. The carpet was ugly. The dancefloor was mediocre. Just the entire place was mediocre. I visited places that were less money than Oheka with better looking ballrooms.

We're only having 40 guests so everything was out of budget! lol.

My biggest disappointment was Old Field Club. I had been told that they do weddings on Sundays without a minimum--however when I talked to them I learned that had changed (they hadn't updated on the website yet).

It took me a while to get over it and I even considered a Thursday... but in the end it worked out for the best. I found a place I liked even better in the Hudson valley with a similiar look, no minimum, and I get a Saturday in the summer!
