What RH did you love but were out of your budget?

Original post by soontobmrsmike

I'm just curious to know if anyone went through this. I looked at so many places and the ones I fell in love with were out of my budget. I would love to get feedback to see what everyone says.

Vanderbilt Mansion. They told me flat out, I couldn't afford it.

The Foundry! The site fee alone is what some of these RH's have quoted us. lol! Add to that that it's just an empty space and there was no way it would be possible.

Some places we found quotes online (like the Vanderbilt Mansion and some of the other ones that are similar) and they were out of reach too so we didn't bother to make appts to fall in love with them.

Our second choice was the Sands in Atlantic Beach.... it wasnt really out of budget, but they didnt offer us what the CH offered we just couldnt pass up the deal we were getting...

The Crescent Club. I grew up in Bayville and always wanted to get married there even though I knew it was probably out of our budget for a summer wedding. I was reallllly tempted to do a Thursday night so we could (somewhat) afford it, but decided on a Friday at the Swan Club instead.

Tribeca Rooftop Lounge I'd give me left arm to have my wedding there, but then I wouldn't have a hand to put my wedding band on.

And The Foundry in LIC is my other fave. The price actually just went up and also, it's too small for our needs. I still want to do a photo shoot there though. It's amazing!

Land's End - we didn't even go there to look but they e-mailed the prices over and I almost fell off the chair. Saturday and Sunday during the Memorial Day weekend was a bit over priced for us.

I would have said Oheka but I went to meet with a BM last weekend and I was kind of disappointed with the ballroom. The grounds outside of the castle are absolutely gorgeous but in order to get the look I want I would have to spend thousands of dollars extra to drape ceilings and walls and to get the right linens that Oheka quickly fell from what I always thought it would be. So I am going to stick with my cheaper sandcastle and do all of the things I want with the money I am not spending on Oheka
