I'm just curious to know if anyone went through this. I looked at so many places and the ones I fell in love with were out of my budget. I would love to get feedback to see what everyone says.

i was in love with the north ritz club but it wasnt in our budget for a saturday and i lost all 3 dates for sunday 3 day weekends in less then 24 hrs of inquiring. it was very upsetting.

I refuse to watch platinum weddings even though I love it. It makes me feel bad. I'd rather spend my money on a house and a nice honeymoon!!

I would give an arm (ok maybe like a finger ) to have a wedding in at the Angel orensanz old church space., SDo beautiful and soo many possibilities ::swoon:: check it out @ www.orensanz.org. Platnium Weddings makes me physically ill, in my next life lol!

Since I had my date picked, guarantees were too high for me at
Glen Cove Mansion Woodlands Inn at New Hyde Park
I really would have loved any of those... but I don't care enough about 200 (or 225 in NHP case) to pay for them to eat dinner with me at my wedding.

I thought I was the only one who had decided to leave that show behind!!!
It was so unrealistic in a 'let them eat cake' kind of way. . . Also I kept thinking hmm I could do that -- when really sometimes you just cannot do that and its almost better to be in the 'ignorance is bliss' category!!!!

Well I'm going to take it to crazyland,
A private island with a large yacht just offshore. Ceremony on the beach with the sun setting.. Paid lodging for guests on the island, with an option to party late into the night on the yacht. Then we say sayonara to the guests, boot them off the yacht and hubby and I sail off into the sunset, destinations unknown.

Nothing super fancy, but we really liked the Hamlet in Commack. The room was very big for the amount of people we originally planned on having and the price per person was a little too high. This led us the the Hamlet in Mt. Sinai....DH likes to play golf so a country club was only natural for us!
